Will the other combiners ever be reissued?

The Predaking reissue was a hit. I think everyone will agree to that. Now it's fetching high prices on eBay as fans fight to get a complete die-cast set of arguably the finest gestalt ever made. And then there's the upcoming Piranacon reissue, sadly limited to a TFCC exclusive. This will be the first time outside of Japan that we'll see Nautilator in a gift set and anticipation is running high.
Hasn't HasTak taken notice yet? We want more! There are so many loose and incomplete combiners out there that to own a complete, boxed set would be a trophy in any fan's collection. If the other popular G1 characters can be reissued multiple times, what's stopping HasTak from satisfying popular demand with the combiners, too?

As KOs I see them all the time, which is why I think they are being neglected. Takara realy just seems to be intrested in the nostalgic first wave big name bots or expensive motorized rehashes.
Give it time though and maybe after our 60th StarScream, well get them all

I must agree with you Glitcher. I am stumped as to why HasTak has not reissued other combiners. There are other combiner sets that I would venture to say are certainly money makers and would produce lots of sales. Menasor, Defensor, Computron & DEVASTATOR just to name a few.
However with the popularity of Transformers right now due to the movie and continuing forward with Animated, possible combiner reissues are certainly a hopeful thing. God only knows I'm sick and tired of the KO Defensors, Menasors & Devastators that clog up ebay myself so it would be a breath of fresh air to me if Takara/Tomy were to reissue other combiners.

Why would they put out reissues that would have to be sold for $50+ into a market flooded by $5 KO's?
THAT is why you don't see them.
And then there's the whole issue of them probably not even owning the original molds, but that's been discussed to death in another thread.

Ditto.

Forget reissues, they should be remolded, retooled, and reloaded into a new line. Who can honestly say they wouldn't go gaga for a classics style predaking or liokaiser etc etc? Well, assuming they are able to keep up with expectations on quality, that is. =P

Yep, it might be the Piranacon repaint by the TF collectors club.

the ko's shouldn't have anything to do with actual reissues. the quality of those worthless fakes are pathetic at best and it's obvious that everyone wants the combiners to be reissued so i think it's only a matter of time. it'll probably be a while down the road though.

I personally would love combiner reissues, except Bruticus and Devastator. Bruticus/the Combaticons have been re-re-re-released in darn near every line since G1, and Devastator gets released every couple days it seems. There was a thread like this a few months back, like before the movie came out, and someone listed all the Devastators released and there were like 18. I'm tired of Devastator and Bruticus, but would love combiner reissues like the Terrorcons or Monstructor.

I would love to see some combiner reissues that are not Bruticus, though I mostly want them to get the parts I need for some of my incomplete combiner sets.

Just out of curiosity, couldn't you get a Defensor KO set and use the parts from that? I'm wondering, is all.

I actually tried that a few years ago. As it turns out the KO Defensor is of a scale slightly larger then the original G1 molds so the combiner parts won't fit.

^^^ and ontop of that, the plastic quality on said parts is horridly shoddy. They fall apart and the plastic becomes brittle almost right out of the package (sometimes even in the package

)

Yeah, although the quality of the KO I have doesn't seem to bad, it's still not great, and the paint jobs and stick application is so very poor it isn't funny. It just looks cheap. This is why I'm so desperate to get the original accessories for Defensor and Menasor...

I think Hasbro/Takara have stated that can't do anymore G1 Bruticus/Combaticon re-paints/re-issues/re-releases (or
whatever you want to call them) do to the fact that they have pushed the molds to the breaking point literally.
I can die a happy man if I never see a new repaint of a G1 Combaticon.
To my knowledge Devastator hasn't been offically re-released or re-issued since the G2 line. KOs have been released liked crazy.

Besides which, i've heard that depending on which KO combiner sets you get, the quality is really not bad at all, though there are definately some that are out there, that are absolutely dog turds.

I don't mean the G1 Devastator literally, I meant Devastator in general. A G1 Devastator reissue would be neat, but I could die happy if I never see a new Devastator release.

No their the same size its just that they made the pegs that fit into the different bots wider.I had the same problem so I took my dremel tool and shaved down the pefs and it fit right in.

That may of been the case for you, but these Protectobot KOs I have are actually bigger then the G1 ones. I've been thinking of filing down the pegs but the hip piece is just to big to fit right.

Really? That is quite awesome of you thanks!
It's easy to see what parts I'm looking for as their listed in my sig.
