I found a Ricochet and nightstick reissue this weekend. I was wondering what is it worth? It is brand new sealed in box the tape does not look like it was reapplied. It is sweet!! I want to open it just cause I have not even touched a g1 toy since I was a kid. All transformers I own are newer ones so I am dyin here. So if it is worth some thing I want to keep it sealed if not I want to relive my childhood. Help let me know please.

I think I just saw one on e-bay yesterday for somewhere in the $20s...the market got saturated with him a while back, which drove down the price somewhat. I say open that bad boy up and relive some G1 goodness! He's even better displayed than in the box!

Ricochet was never released in the US back in 80's he was an
extremly rare Japanesse excuslive Targetmaster (called Stepper in Japan), who got re-issued in Japan before here in the US.
Nightstick was orginally the US Targetmaster partner of Cyclonius when he got re-molded to be a Targetmaster.

As too his worth I got him and still haven't found the time
to take him out of the box (the same with all the Hasbro's re-issues, I broke the tape seal but just have the energy to take them out of the boxes) I have heard that the Japanese re-issues of Stepper was slightly better than the US version namely due to less strick safty laws.

It's worth about $15.

Well I guess I will open him up!! Time to go back to when I was 7!! I wish I could find g1 or re issue of ratchet he was the first transformers I got when I was a kid. That was before I even knew what a transformer was. Someday hope someday soon! I got lucky and got ricochet on clearance for $7! Just lucky thanks guys

There was a Takara reissue of Ironhide if not Ratchet (same mold, different colors) some years ago now. I'm not certain if Ratchet was produced or not. I'll have to check. This was back before the bookstyle reissues. If I'm not mistaken, those reissues were made in much more limited numbers and are highly sought after.

After digging for a minute I found info stating he was reissued in 2001. This would make him one of the releases I spoke about previously. You can read that same info here:

I wouldn't be surprised if Ratchet is reissued after the movie to boost popularity for the character.

I love the firepower that Stepper comes with. It's like the whole Jazz arsenal and then a Targetmaster on top of it all. Big guns!
