I've been thinking of getting another Cybertron Unicron so that I can have one to take out and play with. Would like opinions on playability. Have seen some Youtube videos but not enough to help me decide. Thanks!

The ball joint hips are loose, but other than that he rocks!

He's nothing too special in my opinion. A nifty figure and I am glad I bought him but he's still kinda clunky and silly.
You'll probably enjoy him.

He's cool, and a great toy, but it just isn't right if you ask me. From planet to tank. Kinda big downgrade.

I see him as a terestrial capable saucer.
Think about it, he's rebuilding himself from scratch, gotta start somewhere
Still the possability and positioning options of those claw spikes realy made this figure enjoyable for me!

A Yellow Tank-like thing. A little too flimsy for my tastes, still he looks pretty good in both modes, and has a few nifty little features. Like how you can give him pointy spike hands instead of fists. Adds to the attack power.
I kinda wish the shoulder cannon could come off or be arm mounted. Still Nice quantity of firepower there.
The head is very reminiscent of Bludgeon. But the colors not so much.
The Legs Panels are a little annoying. and the gray spikes come off to easily. I just keep them off.
Overall The Tank mode is pretty nice, and the robot mode looks good, if only the thighs weren't so loose.
Not a bad Figure, just not as good as it could have been.

Thanks guys!
Will the loose hip ball joints be rectified by the ol' glue in the socket trick? Or is it a special type joint that I won't be able to do much about?

His boots remind me of hooker boots. Am I the only one?
He's a nice little toy. Wish he had more paint apps. If he had more paint he might be "great" instead of "not bad".

on hip joints since they are so pivital to weight displacement, probably not.
an intrical area like that will cause it to flake off quick.

Bugger... okay then, think I'll leave fate to decide. If the auction nears the end of its run with no other bidders I'll take it. Otherwise I'll pass. Pity too... I've been convinced he's good enough to take out and play with! But my experience with loose hip joints on my Protoform Prime has taught me that those hips are damned important to my enjoyment of a toy.

yup...i was planning on getting one too but when i saw my friend's Unicron and the loose hip ball joints, it turned me off. my friends' figure wasn't even half a year old and it has trouble standing up straight already.
otherwise, nice fig, definitely a must-buy if you're into the Unicron mythology and stuff.
wish they'd release this as Bludgeon though.

Actually I am! Which is why I started buying up Unicrons. However this is expensive because the prices have gone up. I usually like to have one MISB and one for display, but I paid for a loose Energon Unicron USD$66 or so. I shudder to think what an MISB one would cost me now.
So I do have a collection of Unicrons. MISB Armada Unicron, loose Energon Unicron, MISB Cybertron Deluxe Unicron, and 3" Titanium loose Unicron. Any other significant Unicron I've missed?

It is very easy to fix his hip joints with the regular "glue to make the joint tighter" trick. I did it on mine and he stands much better now.

I always find it funny how that BW2 Unicron prototype is so fundamentally similar to what would become Cybertron Primus.

Deluxe Universe Unicron hmm, well in my opinion although cool looking he just doesn't scream Unicron to me so in my own imagination I prefer to htink of him as Bludgeon with both his inner robot and Pretender shell merged into one body with the ability top transform into one awesome looking Cybertronian tank. But as a toy he is worth getting and he does resemble Bludgeon in his pretender form same basic colouring and similar robot form.. His ball joints are a little loose but yeah I would recommend him just not as the name of Unicron.

I have to agree there, he really needs to be re-painted as Bludgeon
