Which Transformers Toys are future candidates for repaints??...

Cybertron Swerve comes to mind as a future candidate of a repaint into Rodimus/Hotrod.. he's got the body and the pipes for it, not to mention the head sculpt.. he's a dead ringer..

as a Legends class or something in classics, he'd fit in.. as Rodimus, even if there already is one..

the Hardtop figure would make an excellent Beachcomber, color him blue and grey like the G1 Beachcomber who was the first TF dune buggy..that would be a perfect fit too!!

Actually the more I think about it, the more I think that the new Movie Dune Buggy coming out under the Allspark line up would be a cool and excellent Beachcomber as a repaint as well...

If they make a classics Ultra Magnus, then that could also be a good power master prime, but of already existing figures, could be anything, and don’t forget Skywarp-2 there’s always botcon for Rodimus.

Lord, let us not repaint Swerve again. (Clocker, Swerve, Target Clocker...he's done)

You of course meant to say, "The are all glory bound to be repainted!"

Right? :P

Build an army with repaints!

They even work for non-TFs

Then again, sometimes you just want to own 4 Armada Primes (perhaps more!)

Counterpunch, right now I have nowhere to display my collection, but if I did, it would look like yours, repaints are great!

Fantastic.

Do women's panties disintegrate when standing before the glory of your collection as well? 8)

I don’t let women see my collection, the clean up is such a pain.

Yeah. That Clocker mold is like the Energon Arcee, repainted a million times as other characters or exclusive figures. Cyb. Hardtop is a better choice, or at least I like that one better. E-Arcee blows dogs for quarters.

I'm surprised we haven't seen a G1 movie Ironhide in all red. Or additional repaints of him aside from the upcoming Off-road version.

The movie line hasn’t had enough repaints, I hope we get another Barricade so I can have it and three 08 Bumblebees.

I hate repaints.

But I wouldn't mind them so much if they'd mix things up more. Like give us a mold that hasn't been available for a couple years, or swap on a different head every once in a while. Some minor retooling could make all the difference in the world. Suddenly it seems like a whole new toy.

Is it really that hard?

Mind if I ask why? If they didn’t make repaints it wouldn’t put us any closer to a new figure, there would just be one less.

Well you'll see in my post that I'm not totally against repaints.

I just wish they'd put a little more effort into them.

Repaints have the potential to be great, the Real Gear figures are proof that Hasbro can do nice looking repaints that look completely different from the original toy.

It's a shame they do not do that with many of their repaints.

Well if they wanted to, they could just do a new head sculpt for the CanonBall repaint of Cybertron Red Alert, repaint it Purple and woalla!! instant Shockwave!!! that would make a good Botcon exclusive, if not a good regular release in Universe/Classics 2.0

See my digibash:

I don't know which is better the yellow touches or the reds..hmmm.. :-? you guys decide....
