Good... cuz I gots the skills that pays the bills!

I can't believe this guy has a MISB Browning and Metrotitan! IT almost seems suspicious that someone could have all of these grails and want to sell them!

I found that guy's stuff because of the Metrotitan. It's one of my dream figures and I do a search for them every once in a while just to keep the dream alive. I almost crapped myself when I saw that one. If I had $1,300 just lying around, you can bet that I'd buy that one. The only problem being that I would be so tempted to open it that it would be taunting me every day for the rest of my life.

I dont buy things like this.
Now power on earth would stop me from opening it, so why spend that much money on a toy that is unopened...

If that Grand Max was complete I would've hit the BIN button.

True that. $1,300 is one expensive strip of tape to cut through.

Metrotitan

Here is some info regarding Metrotitan. That figure is worth at most $250US. I attended the last Botcon in Japan(2000?) and EVERY dealer had him in MISB(c9-c10). AND I MEAN EVERY ONE OF THEM."I've never seen anything like it before". I got the impression that this toy was like those Hulk foam fists you can still find in some KMarts. The dealer in Japan with the most number of tables was only selling 3!!! things. Metrotitans MISB $75, Set of 5 Stunticons MISB $130, and Set of 5 Predacons MISB $?. His tables were so stacked with multiples of these that you could'nt even see the dealer. A hand would appear in the air grabbing out for money. I bought the first two, already had Preds.

Then that Metrotitan would seem to be overpriced....

On a side note, if you ever attend Botcon or go to Japan again and see a MISB Metrotitan for $75, could you please get one for me? I'll so pay shipping on that....

I really really really regret not buying at least three of em. I even had extra money to burn. There really wasnt that much Japanese exclusive stuff there, which is why I went. Soooo much cheaper than buying it here. Another two figures that were common were Star Saber(2nd release)MISB and Victory Leo MISB. I think I bought both for $200. The rarest toys there were a couple Japanese rough boxed Fort Max and one of the Japanese cassettes that form Legout. The most expensive thing at the convention was being sold by an American dealer and to this day it makes me giggle. I wish I took a picture of it. He was selling a Targetmaster Hot Rod in the poopyest-1st Grade-homemade box for $1000. I blitz you not. The "artwork" and coloring for the box was done in MagicMarker.

I have a little experience purchasing japanese MIB/MISB figures and that dude is really screwing whoever buys the items at the BIN prices.

I thought I overpaid when I paid $600 for a MISB Metrotitan...you're welcome to come and see it anytime Godmagnus.

BTW I will loan you $14,000+ if you pay me, an extremely high interest rate...say maybe 10% compounded daily...

I know for a fact that I did not pay that much for my MIB complete Guard City either... :?

No payment for 3 months you guys....you could probably save up for some of those in that time.

These are definitely some beautiful but overpriced items. Even given the stupid amount of money some Battle Beasts/Beastformers are worth (considering their small size), the Clear Carp set is definitely not worth that much.

I figured most of those prices were high but I had no idea a MISB Metrotitan could be found as low as $75. Is $250 really the average? If so, I'll definitely have to start looking more often. I'd love to see your Metrotitan, tigertracks. I've never actually seen one in person.

What you saw was probably the rarest Transformer you will ever see. A pre-production proposal-stage mockup. They are done on shortest possible deadlines, "Give me 5 alternative box designs by 5:00pm today" type deadlines. The only reason you saw a toy in it was because because 1)they were redoing Hot Rod or because 2)the dealer stuck it in there to match the box art. You saw a piece of TF history at its earlist conceptual stage. Poopy indeed...

$75 for MISB Metrotitan? What the????

We'll have to arrange for you to come take a look at my collection, at some point I suppose. Gotta' wait a bit, I have a Black Zarak coming...

But really it's just, well a brighter colored Metroplex that comes with a micromaster. The box and it's art are what I really like though, but having the actual TF is cool too...

Ah. I type corrected. That's what browsing Carbombya at midnight will do for you...
