First post guys......
I think alts look better and are more sophisticated, transformation wise, even though the movie figures have some nice features and effects..... what do you guys think??

in terms of actual representation of real-life vehicles, I will go with the Alt/BT line. The movie line is nice too.
Welcome to Seibertron...pull up your feet and enjoy your stay.

I think movie toys come quite close, although the Decepticons leave a bit to be desired.

Welcome to Seibertron, and I think alts are way more advanced that the movie figures. Wheeljack took me almost 40 mins to transform the first time!

Alternators easily.
They don't have stupid retarded heads that look like they've been smashed repeatedly with the ugly stick.

Movie easily.
They don't have stupid retarded that look like humans who covered their faces in chrome.

Alternators are much better, because they don't look like a pile of random parts that comes out of the alt mode. The faces are actually recognizable as faces, and the realistic alt modes are far superior!

Alternators.
Because they are. They don't need any other reason.

Exactly

Not to mention the movie cars are GM
I'd much rather have a Ford GT or a Subaru than a silly Camero.

Alternators because i'm afraid of breaking them whenever I transform them
I think they learned from making alterantors when they created the movie toys. Movie toys look realistic but are a bit more solid.

Save for a few exceptions, Alternators are really not that hard to transform and are not that great in the poseability department. But the detailing is much better in car mode though.

Movie line figures!
But I'm quite interested in Alternators & Binaltech too..

They have the best detailed vehicle modes, almost like true life car models..

Welcome to Seibertron im surprised no one has done it yet so....
WARNING: SEIBERTRON CONTAINS NUTS!!!
Also, the alts are better simply because they have a level of detail and quality to them that no movie figure has...except for maybe concept BB. I love the movie line, i think they are awesome, but alts are just more special, especially since they are no longer being made.

HEHE.... Thanks for the heads up....
Yeh... I can't beleive the alts are gone.... there's so much that can still be done with that line....

yep its a crying shame. Im glad i picked up as many as i could when i did. I have an SDCC Rodimus on its way to me now too. You can still find them on ebay, sometimes for decent prices, and some stupid retail outlets still sell them for normal retail prices but their stock is very limited, so pick em up while you still can.

when altenrators turn into their alt modes, no one will gues that they're RID (well, until they look underside).
movie figures aren't so cleverly made, although tey're reallly fun to transform around.

this is like asking who's hotter, jessica alba or star jones? jessica alba and of course alternators. there's no comparison.

Alternators hands down! Never understood why they did not use those cars in the film. The only ones from the film I would've kept are Prime and BB.

Touche.
Alternators easily.
They may have parts that easily pop off (and can be easily put back on) but at least they don't have a stupid auto-morphing gimmick which if broken can screw up the whole toy.

Alternators by far. Don't get me wrong, the movie line is good, but Alternators are tops as far as Transformer toys go.

Lol, what?
It's obvious Alt/BT is superior. They're more detailed, better engineered, and used licensed vehicles that aren't just limited to GM.
How is this even a thread?
Wouldn't MP vs. Alt/BT be more comparable?
