very true but I like the head sculpt they did for it and the paint job.

I'm hoping there are still some in stock when I join the club tomarrow. Kinda interested in the fiction talked about in the bio.

Haven't we known this since last year when it got announced? The attractive part was of course the new head sculpt and the Purple color scheme.

I'm guessing it retained its ability to combine with Armada Optimus Prime to form Astro-Prime? or Optimus-Train?

How much is Astrotrain? I'm not a member of the club but would love to get one, if some fine club member could find it in their heart to assist me........

I don't understand what this thread is about. This info has been out there for literally years now considering the Spacewarp fiasco. So what's the point here? You don't like it? So what, don't buy it.

Is it that Jetfire repaint? I thought it was the Jetfire that combined with the likes of Ironhide. I gotta find some pics to see....

[edit] Yup, that one. Well, that improves the coolness a little that they went with the bigger Jetfire shuttle.

Still, there should be a train mode too.... :(

It's not the JetFire from Energon, but Armada.

sounds like to make the mode loss mess in the story sounds like Astrotrain has modified himself a few times and has since moved away from being a triple changer. Whenever my club membership gets processed i'm interested in reading this story just to see what its about.

Yeah, I've heard that, but it makes the name make less sense.

Ah, well. Even G1 purists must accept change, it seems...

I accept nothing! Astrotrain always LOVED his train mode. No way would he have himself modifed and not include that. Crap story line to sell a bleh figure imho. :-x

Yep.

Because intersteller trains have so very many options along the intersteller railways.

Unless you count turning or choosing which direction you go. I suppose those are limiting factors of the intersteller railway.

Funny lol, but I use Astrotrains techspec as my def!

Mmm, is my memory escaping me or wasn't Astrotrain in Train mode in The Movie when the cons escape from Autobot City and head to Cybertron. :-?

Well, in headmasters the trains were quite effective as interstellar transportation.

But I just received the Club Exclusives yesterday. I thought I would like Air Razor the best, but Astrotrain has one a place as the better of the two... And he looks really cool with all the new painted details.
