Are We in a TF Drought Again?

for the last month or so, the TF areas in major retail stores are pretty much EMPTY around here (GA). there's hardly any deluxes on the shelves. all i see mostly is the smaller than deluxe series.

how is it in your area?

Empty. And the fact that it's X-mas time doesn't exactly help things either.

around here, we have either small or large figures. No Deluxe figures and very few Voyager figures.

It’s empty because of X-mas, Ultimate BB was actually the most searched thing on yahoo shopping awhile back.

TONS of leader megatrons everywhere, and a few deluxes at target. but that's it, besides robot replicas and other crap.

Its a recent trend that started after Energon ended. They'll through us a few bones, but otherwise starve us for a while so when the next line is ready, like it or lump it we'll be so happy for new product that we'll buy whatever!

And who sayes Hasbro doesn't keep collectors in mind :-?

It's dried up in my neck of the woods also now. I don't check all of the stores as much as I used to since I picked up my MP Screamer. Every time I go to Target or Wal Mart I take a stroll through the toy section and see that empty four feet of peghooks.

Once the Allspark line hits I'll start the hunt all over again.

We have some here, but not much...
Some deluxes (I've realized that I really want Wreckage)
and some Voyagers.
But still, limited.

Nope, every week they are getting trucks because of x-mas. As the stuff runs out in after 1-2 days of restocking, they get more in. Skyblast...so close. I am really surprized that Ult. BB is selling like crazy.

I had been experiencing the draught until on a whim I went into a Toys R Us I had gone into a few times recently with no results--and lo and behold, they had a huge new stock of Voyager Primes which I had been searching all over creation for--so I picked him up as well as Thundercracker which I had only seen once before and regretted not buying.

I think we're in a drought because of christmas... all those little kids have transofmrers on their list, especially bumblebee.... and someparents doesn't know how hard it is to get him... lol I went into the transformers section today, it took me forever to get out... it was packed since it was with the power rangers/ spiderman stuff too.

Very slim pickings in St. Louis and NJ.

same here, in this part of the globe.
wave 1 figs are back on the shelf, tons of 'em,including the loved-by-most 08BB, barricade, wreckage, longarm, scorponok, the lens heads, bonecrusher, brawl, ultimate BB (lot of 'em),voyagers (ironhide, megs, op, ratchet, blackout) thundercracker, movie G1 starscream, etc.
but strange, there are NO 74BB, and i can't recall i saw voyager starscream either.

i do not know how long they'll stay on the shelves. maybe two or three days ahead, they'll all gone

There's TONS of cyberslammers... first wave real gears I've had for months, loads of two packs of tfs I have both or one of, all the leaders (got, dont want, and cant really aford right now), a fair few dvd edition primes (not spending £70 on an inferiour version of a tf I got for £50...), oh... and one Scorponok, who's crap and I couldnt being myself to buy.

Thats my part of the UK summerised.

Here in Ventura County, CA the shelves have been in a constant state of flux; they'll be full one day, but by the end of the weekend they're totally blown out. Oh well, I'm already 'up to snuff' on the TFs I wanted from this line. I can't wait for the next line; or the day that I randomly stumble upon a MP Starscream at Walmart.

The retailers in NJ seem to be hit or miss. I went to WM, Target and TRU this morning (all w/in 1/4 mile of one another). WM and Target were pretty dry, but TRU was completely stocked with everything. The pegs for the deluxes and FABs were to capacity, they had just about every voyager and all three leaders in stock.

I was really hoping the All Spark wave would hit before Christmas - Hasbro would have made a killing. There are alot of Wave 1 and 2 pegwarmers around; but they've been around for the last 3-4 months.

I've been done with the Movie set since about September, I've just been going back to get good sealed copies of figures.

Of course, Star Wars distribution has been crazy, too. We've seen everything from wave 4 to wave 8 in the past 2 months.

Please tell me where that is! The only store near me that ever had them was already making deals with scalpers so they could get them right off the truck. I finally tried it once and they said there were none left at the warehouse and Hasbro wasn't sending them more

I'm also in Athens, but I split my time between there and Marietta. I've seen more on the shelves in Marietta stores but its pretty dead there too, unless you're looking for Payload.

My local Walmart was bone dry. NOTHING on the shelves at all. However, two Targets near me actually had some deluxes and voyagers and plenty of Leader Megs. I haven't been to Toys 'R Us recently, but I plan to go soon.
