Do you like TFs with human or alien like faces?

Overall, I like ones with alien faces, although a lot of the human faces are awesome, in particular that of Primus. But even then it's not particularly 'human'.

I actually think Prime, in all incarnations, is somewhat in the middle. Not too alien, not too human.

I actually like them more with face masks, like Prime. Bu yeah i like them more human than alien. Not like Barricade or Blackout. I prefer the more humanoid faces. Although I do like Visors too.

I like visors and faceplates.

And i don't think that TFs should have human-like mouths, as they can just emit sounds through stuff like speakers....

I like both, all depends on the situation of the series. Prime in the movie, is the only one with a human face, Ironhide looked like some kind of guerilla or something, but his game self had a awesome face plate.

The alien faces are more interesting.

And 'human' face is kind of deceiving, since the eyes are robotically shaped anyway and the helmet is actually part of the head... only the mouth and nose is distinclty human save for the lack of nostrils.

I like them with G1 style faces. Remember, they were originally based off of Samurai masks, G1 Wheeljack has a Kendo helmet.

My favorite is Multiforce-14s head:

They are aliens, so it´s alien faces. That´s what i liked more about the movie designs.

Alien/Mouth plate & visor for me.

With that said, Dropkick is one of my favorite head designs ever.

I like the head design in the boxart for Movie G1 Starscream.

I always liked the tiny chiselled robo faces on TF, they have personality. The alien faces of the movie toys do not, not atall, i dont mind the alien faces but on the whole i find them ill realised, BB 08 for eg, theres nothing noteworthy about that head design atall, very weak.

(the real gear toys of course carry over the robo faces, the camera robo has more personality than all the movie toys proper combined)

Stylized human faces, aka G1 style. Not fully human, but close enough to project. Perfect science fiction element.

yeah, humanoid looking faceplates would probably be my preference for the most part. The occasional more robotic or animalistic looking faces work for me sometimes, but the almost abstract designs for the movie heads don't feel like Transformers to me. Lacking character so that they could be mechs from any random anime.

Some of the best head/face designs over the years that I remember:
G1 Prowl
Soundwave
Powermaster Prime
BW Rampage
Wreck-Gar

of course there are loads others, but these stand out to me at the moment

actually i like simplistic faces and not sooo much stuff going on you can't tell what it is.. but alien, humanoid, masks, cyclops.. they are robots.. so it really doesn't matter.. they look cool either way, as long as it's not tooo much detail..

I prefer the original Diaclone style faces on G1 characters. The whole alien look is good but I prefer the original. :)

Never thought about it before, but I think I'd have to say I prefer human faced TFs.

Visors, faceplates and all that are welcome, since Prime and Soundwave are 2 of my favs, but overall, for me, the majority of TFS had human-esque faces.

I honestly prefer the humanoid style faces. I still don't know where movie Ironhide's mouth is :P

Seriously, I loved movie Ironhide's head design. Badass but not evil enough to make you think he's a Decepticon.

Hmm I wonder why? :???: The creator of TFs, his head design based off a punk? Shmeh.
