New Counterfeit Bumblebee

I was looking through some different websites and came across a "Transformers Bumblebee Gen 1 Reissue" listing. The first thing I noticed was that it comes on a card similar to the original but was packed partially transformed. It also states it is a China Reproduction then goes into the same, "We compared it to some originals and we can't tell which is which..." that I have seen before with the Chinese KOs listed on ebay. Here it is:

They also have listings for the KO Swoop and Prime. They both pretty much have the same description and are from China as well.

At the rate they are going they'll have the entire G1 line reproduced and completed by next summer.

True, but alas, quality is always another matter, isn't it?

Thats where you're wrong. I've heard from people who have these and they say they are pretty much identical to the originals, in terms of plastic quality and paint job quality

Really? I'd be very interested to see one of those, then. Of course, I might have lingering guilt for having a KO in my original G1 collection.....

But that's just me.

At this point though its gonna get very hard to tell the loose KOs from Loose G1s. Alot of these even have the Takara Copyright marks on them now.

I knew about Swoop prior to discovering Bumblebee and Prime started showing up a few months ago. Anyone else know of any other convincing counterfeit Transformers that appear to be coming from this same company out of China?

Yep, I had a KO Grimlock back in 1984, and apart from red robot and t-rex eyes, and blue hips, it's identical in looks and sturdiness to the legit one. Plus the color change looked much better as well. :D

Ratbat/frenzy
Ravage/Rumble
Laserbeak/Frenzy
Beachcomber
Seaspray

Quality is okay but not as good as the authentic reissues or the vintage pieces.

Look for Devastator and seekers in the coming months.

Don't know about that one... $35 bucks for bumblee, when you can get him for $4 at walmart, just remove the keychain. And $80 for prime, when the reissue a few years back was $30. And they want these prices for KO's?!

Since they are counterfeiting anyways and are totally ignoring the need for licensing how about they make Jetfire, Shockwave, and a few others that Hasbro and Takara supposedly don't have the license for either. It's the best shot we'd get at a re-issue without all the red tape. I might consider buying one then.
