TANK MODE

Looks good although the plastic feels so-so. Turrets turn but main cannon cannot move up or down. Secondary cannons can't either, only the third set can move in all directions. Tank rolls on 4 little wheels.

TRANSFORMATION

The most spectacular I've seen for a tank (too long to explain)... until it's time to attach the shoulders to the torso, which proved impossible. Had to put superglue in the hole to make them smaller. Very frustrating process, I can already see kids being disapointed. Once the fix is done, everything is fine. The automorph feature on it is that when you fold down the torso, the tank threads move upand the head folds up. Pretty cool and not obstrusive.

ROBOT MODE

Great little robot with blades/claws on the left arm and the tank's main cannon on the right one. Brawl is super poseable. Joints for : head, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, feet. Headsculpt is pretty cool too, the closest to anything G1 in that line so far. Actually, it looks more like something from Beast Machines. I love it.

Totally agree, in a larger scale, say Leader Class, a few more details and a movable Cannon. And he would have a been a fan favorite Megatron all the way. Why o why didn't they go in that direction.

In any case, he looks good, love the Arm cannon. I'll probably get it and repaint him Grey and call him Megs. Or just swap his head with the Ultimate Battle 2 pack Megs. Hmm there's an idea.

In any case, he's on my must buy list.

Now this is a good toy.

Nice alt mode, and a good looking robot mode.

Im wondering how exactly they are gonna deal with the tracks in the movie, cuase I cant beleive they are simply gonna split them in half and make em so obvious like they are on the toy. (Tracks have always been the achillies heal of tanks in transoformers IMO.)

Turret doesn't move up and down huh?

*sigh* What could have been the best tank Transformer let down by something so simple.

I take it those claw things aren't removable either?

Very few tank tfs have guns that have any kind of vertical movement, it's rarer than rotating turrets.

I for one dont think that will bother me one iota.

That's my point. Had they done it to him he would have had a rare feature and made him the best tank TF out there.

Id say of all the movie toys we've seen, him and the verious BBs are by far the best of the lot.

Brawl is my favourite movie bot (edging out Barricade only by a little itty-bit), but I'm hoping for a more "movie-accurate", complex, detailed, not to mention bigger (a tank the same size as a cop car... yeah, whatever) figure when the leader class version is released.

Though I'll probably pick up this version to keep me happy until the bigger one is out.

if they can morph any parts of the robot in the movie, then why not the tracks? remember now, it's michael bay we are talking about here and he doesn't interpret the tfs the same way as we do being the tf fans. By saying that I don't mean that it's necessarily bad; it's just gonna be just different, as we all know. Again the morphing concept is involved here, which probably means that they can get away with tons of the engineering aspects of the design that our toy designers would have otherwise scratched their heads bald to figure out how to solve.
