I have looked on several transformer id sites and I have yet to find overlord so I was wondering if someone could tell who he is and what series he comes from and post a picture or something.

during masterforce - set after the japanese headmaster series, overlord was the most powerfull of the decepticon godmasters. A lifeless transector controlled by the two godmaster human partners the husband and wife team mega and giga. Working for the force known as devil Z who planted the transectors on earth mega and giga used the decepticon pretenders and recruted more head masters and godmasters to the decepticon side.

The Overlord character is possibly the only one who has 3 different backstories, one for each territory (Japan, US and Europe). While he wasn't physically released in the US, the Heroes of Cybertron PVC figure was released instead, called "Powermaster Gigatron". Here are the links:

Overlord is probably my favorite, or among favorites, ever produced.

I have the UK version, the japanese version, and the US version (sigh). As far as the actual toys go, there seems to be no difference but the packaging.

He has a huge amount of weaponry, great alt modes, and a kick @$$ robot mode. Gotta' love him! I prefer the UK profile to the japanese (the US one is very similar to the UK version--I think). I'm not a big fan of the humans being in charge of the giant war machine, he is much better as his own evil entity--at least I like to think so! :P

what was the UK profile as far as i can remember it just mentions a very generic bio about being a tactical war machine that will dominate any terrain and how hes known as being legendary among transformers. Prefer the masterforce story for the more developed characters of mega and giga and the rivally between them and ginrai
