if demand is there, why not make more?

why would hasbro not make more of previous lines if it were still high in demand? i can understand g1 and g2 figures, but lines like energon, alternators, binal, universe, and cybertron still have a strong following. isnt that leaving money on the table? at least sell it exclusivly on the hasbro site.
i know, its the market. cant i still dream?

There is demand, but not enough. You have to remember, the smaller a production run the higher the price per unit. that's one of the reason exclusives are so much more expensive. Unless they did a full run the cost for each figure would double or triple, which wouldn't make the piece no cheaper then going on Ebay.
Now give it ten years and who knows, we might see reissue Energon figures. I doubt it, but you never know.

i guess i'm just a little pissed that i walked by alot of these rare TF's and never picked them up when they were available. mainly alternators - cant tell you how many wheeljacks and mirages i've seen. my priorities at the time were directed somewhere else. i'm such a fool!!
