Ok, so we've seen that frenzy is in the movie, that he transforms into that weird silvery skeletal thing.
incase you don't know, look here
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270116375445

so he's neither red or blue. Ok, whatever, sidesteps the argument, right? Well what about the new watch they're releasing

HE'S BLUE and he is SO Rumble (Since the name Frenzy is already occupied) Hasbro has finally chalked up a point in the RIBFIR side of the debate. Evens us out for the alternator.

None of the real gear bots have used G1 names (at least, none that I've recognized.) The odds of this guy being called Rumble are slim to none.

But, the watch guy does make a nice Frenzy.

maybe it will be rumble 570 or something? and frenzy is the king of the realgears, since he is the only one with a big weapon-y thing

Hasbro have already made their point on the RIBFIR/RIRFIB debate, over twenty years ago. Red one in the Rumble and Ravage packaging, blue one in the Frenzy and Laserbeak packaging. RIRFIB, 'nuff said. :P

i always believed RIBFIR,i think FIBRIR was hasbro's original intention, but rumble just fits blue and purple better, and frenzy fits black and red.

How's that cheeky? It's Hasbro's property, I think they'd know how they should be coloured. That and it's only the 'toon that originally coloured Rumble blue, and I'm not sure how that came about - even in the show bible, they knew Rumble was red (but decided that Frenzy was similar enough that the two were pretty much interchangeable).

Here's the transcript of the bible. Pay particular attention to pages 34 (the Decepticon line-up) and 42 (Rumble's bio).

That's obviously because you were brought up on the 'toon. It's probably the first thing you were exposed to, and it's the 'toon you have the fondest memories of. And because you were brought up with the 'toon's (misguided) colourschemes, they're the ones that seem most natural to you.
And there was never any purple, either, Frenzy's two shades of blue. :P

are you missing my point, Movie Frenzy is real gear, he's a boom box. He is not Blue. The watch guy can't be Frenzy because Frenzy already exists in the Movie. The name Rumble is still open though.

I always go by toys over the cartoon. I mean, when the cartoon couldn't even remember to flip down the nosecones on Thrust Dirge and Ramjet, it's hard to take it seriously. :P

Besides, I had the Rumble toy, when I was a kid. He was red and black. RIRFIB

what i ment is: with a name like "frenzy" i picture bloodcolours and darkness. with a name like rumble,i don't know,i just picture colours that catch the eye quickly,of which blue is an example.

whatever the case I'm buying at least a couple of those guys. Much cheaper than the KT version, look just about as good, and I can pull the arms off and put them on other Kitbashes :D

And the lazerbeak looks killer as well.

You mean LaSerbeak. Laser is an acronym you know!

I agree though that they look pretty darn cool. The G1 Attactix are the only ones I'd consider getting.

I'm not sure I got it. Isn't the 'Unicron singularity' from the Cybertron series or something? I can't remember, I've hardly seen it.

I read the wikipedia explanation of the Unicron Singularity but having not seen most of the series I still don't quite understand the reference. I was just going to let it rest, but since you brought it back up, does the U.S. cause glitches in continuity or something? Cause multi-verses to collide?

And the War Within Jetfire attactix looks sweet as well. I think he's the only non g1er I like so far.

it was created as a deus ex machina to explain the continuity discrepancies in the unicron trilogy by saying that there is only one unicron and the one that was destroyed in energon created a flux in the time continuum in the entire tf universe(not just a-e-c)thus my joke on the whole RIBFIR syndrome

Ah, I see. I always thought they should have done a similar post beastwars explanation where each time the BW characters had changed something and we saw the shock wave go out, distortions of the space time continuum I think they called it, it created a different TF universe.

In any case, I would love to see a TF story where they need to travel between continuities or the multi-verse or what ever you want to call it. My own personal story would go something like each universe is collapsing one at a time and a small contingent of bots is traveling between them trying to collect and merge with their other selves (each time they merge, new reformat), each time they combine they're stronger.
