Anyone else having a hard time buying Headmasters Figures?

I've been on ebay for the last couple of days searching for the Decepticon Headmasters (Mindwipe, Weirdwolf, Apeface) and i'm having a hard time finding them cheap. Are they really worth the 75+ people are asking for?
I'd love to own them but they seem overpriced to me.

I've used them before! That guy is usually pretty reasonable and you can negotiate a better price most of the time. He just doesn't have any headmasters in stock.
Why doesn't Takara Tomy reissue them!

I'll just have to bite the bullet then, its just that I didn't think they were worth that much. I just finished buying up New Dinobots to replace all my old ones. Swoop, complete was 50, Sludge was 45 complete, I got a G2 Silver Snarl for 20 and i'm still working on Grimlock. My Slag is in perfect shape however

The problem with headmasters is the mibt that is normally missing is the head. And without a head they are pretty pointless. Hence complete ones (or at least ones complete with the head) pull a premium, becuase they arnt that numerous, and there are hundreds of headless ones floating about that no one wants.
Its the reason I have yet to get any headmasters in my collection, which is annoying as it is about the only US G1 tf type I dotn have an example of (exept Robot masters, but I dont really care about them).

Headmasters ARE pretty hard to find these days for a reasonable price, particularly on Ebay. It just doesn't seem like that many are out there for sale. I had an itch for a Highbrow and/or Chromedome recently, but yep, they will cost you.
My best advise is to wait until after Christmas. Demand for Transformers should be less and most people will likely be recovering from their spending sprees, so any Headmasters that make it onto auction could be had for less. You know some good ones will pop up eventually!

Keep in mind that Apeface and Snapdragon are Triple changers and double headmasters(the nebulon/robot changes into the head of the robot AND the animal). They are both extra cool in my book.
I have a complete set of the first wave of Headmasters except for Weirdwolf, he's the only one I need.
I also have the custom Arcee & Daniel HM as well as the cartoon accurate HM Spike, so I guess I'm a bit of a HM nut.
Brainstorm was my favorite HM when I was a kid, bought him at KBToys with my lunch money back in 1987.
Headmasters are HARD to find & expensive but well worth it IMO.
I will start a thread in the collection section soon with my Headmaster collection in it if anyone's interested.

Are you going to rub your headmasters collection in our faces!
Hopefully, they will be cheaper after xmas because i'd like to get my hands on all the Decepticon Headmasters.
I think the Decepticon headmasters are going to cost me more then my Dinobots.

Shoot your lucky to find figures at 75+ I got out bid like 7 times on seperate occasions and all that ended up in higher dollar amounts then I would have expected due to competative bidding.. it was really intense and painful there for awhile.. in the end I was like screw that!! I'm not paying more for that toy!!! Damned eBayers!!!!

Yeah, it sucks. They are commanding some big premiums unfortunately.
I feel the Transformer toys as a whole were really starting to get good around the time Headmasters came out, its a shame that TF popularity was starting to wane big-time. To me, the Headmasters were the ultimate in coolness at the time.
I know I wasn't the only one that was thinking we were really going to get some great episodes after the Rebirth arc. What a let-down.

Not a Headmaster fan myself but the complete ones do sell well, recently brought a near mint Snapdragon for $16 and sold him two weeks later for $70!! A nice little return

I'd like to see pics of those!! I read somewhere that they toyed around with doing an Arcee figure, it would be a repaint of Chromedome, I think. Personally, a redo of blurr would be more cartoon accurate methinks.
As to eBay...It irks me to no end when I get beaten out by some idiot who's only purpose is to buy 'em up and resell em. pisses me off as a collector, trying to reclaim my lost collection and whatnot.
