TFW2005.com has posted images of new Robot Heroes figures, in never-before-seen "Transformers Universe" packaging, which is the continuation of the Transformers Classics line.

The images show us two Generation 1 versus packs: Sunstreaker vs Galvatron and Hound vs blitzwing; and two Beast Wars packs: Rattrap vs Megatron and Cheetor vs Blackarachnia.

Why is it Hasbro can never pack an Optimus character with Megatron? And why can't they pack Rodimus with Galvatron? I mean, wouldn't these match-ups have made better sense?

Then again, this is Hasbro we're talking about.

Any word on a release date for these packs?

It's simple marketing. Packing Primes and Megatrons seperately with other third-tier characters forces you to buy multiple packs, thus making them more money.

I've been a little "whatever" on the character choices for these so far, but I definitely want that adorable Hound/Blitzwing set.

The yellow on BlackArachnia is blinding, but it works!

I got all the G1 figs, I skipped the movie versions, but I have to say I've been eagerly waiting for these!

So once again, when they hit the shelves I shall wave them tauntingly infront of the 3 inch Titanium shelf warmers

I hope they make a silverbolt to go with the Blackarachnia

Anyone else wonder if they'll make Transformers Animated Robot Heroes? Their designs are so simple and smooth, they'd be perfect for the Heroes line.

Nice stuff, packaging is sharp - Hound and Blitzwing are adorable, maybe one of the best Heroes sets yet. I LOVE the Beast Wars guys too, but why is Megatron blue with a purple face? He looks like he's wearing a children's snowsuit...

I love these little guys. Cant wait for them to come out. Much better than the crappy movie versions.

These look great. And like others I do dig the packaging with these. Looks like we get a first look at what the new "TF Universe" logo will loook like.

I've got all the G1 RH (skipped the movie set) so these are a no brainer for me.

Didn't he have an exclusive repaint? Like a Convention exclusive or something? It was black and looked badass!

Where did these pics come from? How do people get these in-packaging? Thievery?

They do look really nice. I might just have to give in, and pick up Hound and Blitzwing. and maybe Cheetor and black Arachnia.

I wouldn't doubt if they make animated robot heroes...
It just makes more business sense to me; even though I'd prefer to see more obscure G1 characters, it probably won't happen.
BUT, I like the Animated style so much, I guess I'll be happy either way.
