The Energon Pub

A friend is looking for a small Transformer toy that transforms from a car into just the head and upper body of a Transformer. I have very little knowledge of Transformers and have not been able to find this particular type in researching on the net. She said it had the Transformer logo on it. Does anyone know what these might be? Thanks for any help!

Actually not a headmatser. as headmasters where robots that turned into heads no other alt mode to be had.

Hmm... fraid I'm not much help.

Maybe BattleTrap or FlyWheels but their bodies where a Chopper and a Jet.

Could also be the top of Armada OverLoad.

Thank you all for your help! Here is a more detailed description from my friend. "It was just a little bit bigger than a Hot Wheels or Match Box car. It was a white sports car (sort of like an Indy 500 car) with a black spoiler on the back. The spoiler flipped over to reveal the head and the back side panels of the car turned out to make the arms. Also, it had the red Autobot logo on the hood of the car."

Wasn't he a cassette that turned into a plane? I don't recall a white car amongst those cassettes.

I think you may mean the autobots from the Energon line. Sure, they have bot modes of their own too, but they do also transform into the upper or lower half of a 2-bot combiner.

Hmm, tricky. I did an advanced search, and entered the colors white and black, and chose "Indy/F1" car as the alternate form, and got these results:

I notice "Streetwise" (http://www.shmax.com/Figure_Details/977/Streetwise) in the list, who is one of the protectobots that form together to make "Defensor" (http://www.shmax.com/Database/499). He's a white and black Indy car (grey spoiler), and is small, about the size of a matchbox car. I don't know if he can be used to form the head and chest of Defensor, but I think it's one of those sets where anybody can go anywhere, so maybe that's what your friend had in mind.
