I can guess the answer, but is the Takara Encome Optimus Prime smaller in size to the original?

I received mine today and was a little surprised how small it was. My buddy had it when I was a kid, not me, so my memory is really fuzzy.

Also, how does the G1 Prime compare in size to the Transformers T.H.S.-02 Hybrid Style Convoy? I heard that one was fairly small too, although folks have praised its detail and articulation.

The Encore should be the same size, they used the same mould as far as I know. And T.H.S.-02 is amazing but tiny!

In regards to G1 and T.H.S.-02, The G1 is about twicet the sise of him so 6" for G1 Prime and 3" for T.H.S-02 Let me find my camera and I'll take some pictures if you want Just say what kinds of shots you would like.

no, that's the same size as the G1 original. G1 (and Reissue/Encore/Collection) OPs are very puny-looking in alt mode (the form in which you receive it in box).

and THS-02 is very small in alt mode.

Okay, Thanks. I figured the Encore reissue had to be the same as the original G1... I was just surprised when I saw it in the box.

So, just how small is the Hybrid? Anyone have a picture of it next to the G1?

G1 diaclone Optimus Prime is a regular size deluxe robot. He's measures 6 inches in height. He's pretty much bigger than all the regular autobot cars and the minibots.

When you were a child, your hands were smaller.

Unless you were some kind of freak child.

Encore = Japanese Reissue.

As the name implies, it's an exact copy of the original. Same size. Same everything. (Except for very slight minor changes.)

Here you go Decepticharge, My G1 reissue is in storage at the moment but my old G2 Prime from when I was a kid will work fine for a size comparison.

THS-02 Primes truck mode isnt great....but who cares. Its the robot mode that you want. The fact that this tiny figure transforms is a bonus. So many features and joints make this despite the size probably the best prime ever. Best thing is that you can put the whole thing, including the open trailer, on display pretty much anywhere unlike the fill size version which requires a lot of room.

Well, i do prefer smaller toys.
