Translucent Blue Alternators Mirage (mod?)

While checking my Alt. Mirage today i noticed that much like the clear BT Rije, Alt. Mirage is Largely constructed of transparant parts as well.

Basically, all parts containing clear plastic are painted with a metallic paint and the other parts are molded in metallic blue plastic.

Do you guys know of any paint remover that will remove the paint on mirage (doors, roof, engine cover) and not erode the plastic below it?

this is the "European" multi-language) release of Mirage (although I suspect the Chinese producer of the toys to manufacture them to order for certain customers since large groups of "rare" alts suddenly arrive in Euro-bubbles on ebay (mirage, decepticharge) or.. maybe I'm just seeing ghosts ;)

Well nail polish remover is often used to rid the paint, but like most paint removers there is a huge chance of plastic tinting, and fading. I suggest not doing so, because for it to be anything close to Rije it would have to be perfect, and taking all of those paint apps off would be quite maticulous.

Rubbing alchol and alot of elbow grease will get it off eventually, but its a pain in the ass.

I don't know if this can be effective.

I usually rub off paints and other blemishes from delicate items using my finger.

It's a long and arduous process.

But it's safe.
