hiya, well the only transformers line im collecting right now is the Classics line. Currently i have Prime, Jetfire, mirage, cliffjumper, astrotrain, grimlock, and ramjet. Currently looking for rodimus, megatron, starscream, bumblebee and skywarp/ultra magnus set.
well im wondering if i should try to pursue more on the US version or wait and obtain the JPN ones. I wonder if the US ones will go down when the JPN ones come out... but its pretty hard right now finding theses for a decent price. so should i wait or try to find classicss right now, jusut needd them complete and loose =P

If I were you I would grab the Takara SS and Megs as they are definately superior imo to the US colors.

However, one thing to keep in mind is that a lot of folks will be selling their Hasbro Classics when they replace them with the Japanese and you should be seeing a price drop on loose Classics in the near future.

currently trying to complete Hasbro Classics (darn that elusive Cliffjumper!), but i won't mind snagging the recolored Megatron and maybe a few others.

won't be completing this one though, import prices are high enough.

i was thinking of getting the JPN megatron but then i thought that other people might want to too and hope their gonna sell their old US megatron for cheap =P i guess i gotta keep my eyes out on ebay for fluctuating prices.

If you don't have an issue with the US megs colors, definately the way to go. I think alot of the neon megs will be on ebay for cheap verysoon.

well I personally think you should just collect both lines since well the japaese ones will probaly go up in popularity while the classics will eventually go out of stock.
I say go ahead and get both of em.

the only robots i need to complete my classics colelction is skywarp, and an original megatron. i might pick up the takara megatron if the price is good.

oh yeah, do we consider the games of deception set as classics? cause if we do, then i'll never be able to complete my seekers

hell yeah!had to get lotsa external hard drives just to accomodate my collection!

I JUST COMPLETED MY CLASSICS COLLECTION THIS WEEK !!! Minus the Devastator set, which I purposely didn't get, due to that mold looking more funky than Britney Spears forgetting underwear

I got a pretty good deal also, I paid $29 plus shipping for Cliffjumper, Bumblebee, Mirage, and Astrotrain. All were Super Mint, loose, and complete w/ instruction sheets.

Takara Classics are very tempting. I like the extra chrome and better paint schemes.
