Basicly if you're looking at an imaculate 24 year old box from a seller with multiples of the figure you have a KO.
There are varying package details, some as subtle as the diecut on the box, to a grey line around the window.
Try and avoid ungraded perfect boxes if you're looking to avoid a KO.
If you're still unsure, ask for a pic of the date stamp on the box or figure.

On the box, and this is for most things, either on the bottom of the box in small print or in small print on the bottom of the back.
Every figure has a date stamp, I'd check my Prime for you to tell you where to look, but he's currently in a glass case which I aint opening.
Maybe a member with one on the shelf can help you with that though, I'm sure they wouldn't mind.
Do you have a link for the one you're looking at though? Alot of members here have become specialists in spoting a KO, and I bet they can tell you from that alone.

dead giveaways are the (r) logo way above the transformers logo, the grey line around the box and the back of the box not showing ravage completely (merely legs and a part of the torso.)
