Looking for some Cybertron toys...

Hello!
I was wondering if anybody knows cheap spots to get good transformers other than eBay. If it helps, I am looking for:

Cybertron Supreme Starscream
Cybertron Ultra Cybertron Defense Red Alert
and
Cybertron Voyager Scattorshot.

 Not very ambitious, am I? Anyways, my budget is $50 and any one of the above available for purchase for under $50 is a miracle in my eyes. Well, thanks in advance for the sites.

Nope, they don't have those. The only one you might find for under 50 is CD Red Alert. Unless he has started to skyrocket like
the other Cybertron Ultras. The only one I can think of that is still a 'reasonable' price is Dark Scorponok. And when people start to realize he is the closest thing to a Black Zarak, that has been released, I figure he will jump in price too.

Good luck on your search.

I can't find anything like that now. For the longest time CD Red Alert was a shelf warmer here. They couldn't sell them! I believe I paid $14 for mine.

There is an out of package, but complete, CD Red Alert on ebay for $49.95 plus 8.95 shipping. ALMOST the right price.

Almost?

SRP was $25. That's how gage what I'm willing to pay. I understand things like G1, and even Beast Wars being expensive thse days. But when BBTS and others dtart slapping an $80 on Cybertron Nemesis Breaker... That's just plum no. Cybertron has been off the shelves for how long now? A year, perhaps? Little over? A single year is not justification for that much mark up. I'd pay no more than $10 over the SRP plus shipping for something that could've been in my hands if only my ex had cheated on me a few weeks sooner than she did.

Problem is, they aren't available anymore. That is why they are an inflated price on the after market. People pass them up
because they do see them just sitting on the shelf. Even if they think to themselves 'Oh I'll pick that up later.', they won't be around forever.

Ex: I went to visit my mom in Iowa last summer and stopped at
a Walmart and noticed a CD Red Alert on clearance, but I didn't really have the spending cash for it, so I passed it up.
At the end of the summer when I went back I went to check and see if it was still there. I couldn't believe it, it was. I snatched that thing up. It was like 20 bucks. I couldn't understand why
it had been sitting there all that time. I think it was fate.

While some people notice the current trends that these toys/collectibles exhibit, others don't, or simply don't have the cash, or they don't currently fit in with their current collection. That's what will drive the prices up. Once people take note of a certain item once they are not as easily available
many are willing to break down and pay an inflated price. I do it
and many others do too.

Even though the Cybertron toys are not even over for a year
they are becoming sought after. Especially the Ultra class for some reason. I really missed boat when I could have picked up a
CD Scattorshot for the $13 clearance price. I'd be selling that thing on ebay now for one hell of a return.

Funny thing is that I've noticed the prices of past 'Hott' figs like Flame Scourge and Leobreaker are evening out and aren't selling for the ridiculous prices they were but 6 months ago, but
figures like CD Scattorshot, Jetstorm, Sky Shadow, CD Red Alert
and other Cybertron Ultras are gaining serious momentum.
People who passed on these are gonna be up a creek now if they aren't willing to shell out some dough now.

Interestingly the Takara versions aren't as inflated as the
Hasbro ones. At least the ones I've noticed when looking for them.

Exactly right.

Market economics is the reason for the mark up.

I just meant he said he was willing ot pay $50 for it and I found it for $58 after shipping. Almost the price he was willing to pay. I wouldn't pay $58 for CD Red Alert, but like i said, I got a deal on mine.
