Star Wars fansite Rebelscum.com has posted a preview of two new figures in the Star Wars Transformers line, the first figures to be released in the line in 2008.

- Clone Pilot / Republic Gunship...repainted in the now-classic Clone Wars color scheme, it was only a matter of time before we saw this made. Note the ARC Trooper pilot this time...a nice touch.

- Obi-Wan Kenobi / Jedi Starfighter...complete with Hyperspace Ring!

That Obi-wan remold actually doesn't look half bad...:-/ Paint job is definitely better than the barf orange of Saesee Tin.

Oh, look. Another Clone Wars repaint. Meh.

Those are totally awful. The idea was good, but they just somehow can't do it well.

Ah, more repaints from Hasbro.

Minimum amount of work, for more profit.

They should make a log that transforms into an Ewok.

Why can't Hasbro stop making these poopy figures and use the money for something like Leader Blakout or Voyager Bonecrusher, or hell, more Classics?

Accept if, Hasbro, this line FAILED. I have to climb over mountains of this **** to reach Movie toys.

The only SWTF (hey, that name fits the line. SWTF?)figure that looked alright was the Death Star Vader, and even that had crappy quality control.

The Obi-wan wouldn't be bad if he had a different head and different paint scheme.

And unfortunaly, this line sells pretty well, so it will continue.

So what's next? G.I. Joe Transformers?

Here, they sell out pretty quick. And pretty much everywhere I go too.

I only have a few myself (the bigger ones). I might get the Obi-Wan, it looks more interesting than the first version.

PS : I'm ready GI Joe Transformers.

Where I've lived, at least, this things have stayed on the shelves. With better execution, these toys could've been terrific. Alternatively, with a slightly different concept, TF characters with Star Wars vehicle bodies, they also could've struck more of a chord. Why, oh why do they keep making these? I suppose repaints aren't as expensive, and they expect some profit, even if not as much as their other lines. I suppose I should be glad, since Hasbro's being kind to my pocketbook until Animated comes out.

All other Transformers repaints are also frontpaged, why would it be any different? They're Transformers too.

Lol, the photos show off the toys' crapiness.
The plastic just looks weak, the paint is sloppy, and... oh well. The robot modes just look rally weak.

Who is more likely to buy these? Star Wars fans or Transformers

I lost interest in Star Wars toys years ago
but love Transformers. I have yet to spend any cash on these
and don't intend to.

For repaints I don't think they look too bad. I have a small handfull of the toys from this line and one of these might grab my intrest when i see it.

I wouldn't mind seeing this line go away, but I do want a DeathStar, and due to popular review from trusted members, that Comander Cody thing(plus I love what Jin did with it), and maybe a Darth Maul(I like the ship).

Beyond that this is more stuff that I won't buy. They cost to much, never go on sale, and even though the alts are spot on, the robots suck.

Maybe it's a territory thing, but near me, these don't ever sell.

Never liked SWTF besides the GG toy. but the gunship looks appealing.

All of the figures are a resounding MEH. Seriously, they do not appeal to me, but hey, that's just my opinion.

I started collecting swtf because at the time they started I was thinking of getting some star wars figures and they seemed like the perfect solution.

The reason I don't collect action figures is because I find them a bit boring - transformers come in a wide range of shapes, sizes and colours. Oh and they transform!

I don't mind repaints (seekers,prowl/smokescreen/bluestreak) but there's already an Obi-wan and the battleship is a repaint of mold that wasn't very good in the first place.

A repaint of Saesee Tiin as Kit Fisto or Plo Koon I would buy.
