When can we expect TCC Nightbeat?

I'm not a member yet (though I've tried to sign up several times WTF?) but I'm planning to get the Nightbeat repaint of C Hot Shot. Does anyone know when this is going to be available? And wasn't there going to be a Elita-One for last years Botcon comic? Or was that a rumor? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

He had a IDW One Shot. One of Simon Furman's favorite characters, he was a Headmaster PI. All around Sam Spade type.

Here's the wikipedia on him:

Zodconvoy,

Nightbeat and the Seacons should be up for preorder around March with shipping in Aril according to the club website.

About the Elita-1/Thunderblast mold, I heard that the club was thinking about making her, but no word has been heard since Botcon. I hope that I am wrong about this though because I wouldn't mind buying her.

Hope thats what you want to hear

Perhaps its just me, but I think Club preorders for Airazor and Astrotrain were already being taken at this time last year. Better late than never, but I felt a disturbance in the Force yesterday, as if 365 days ago a thousand preorders were submitted and then suddenly filled......but whatever. I can wait, because I'm still gonna get me some Seacons an' Nightbeat.

As for the Elita-1, I don't like that Thunderblast mold, so if they made an Elita 1 out of that I'd probably pass on it.....until I had to have one in the convention box and then bought one anyway.

That is exactly the information I needed (but in the case of Elita, not what I wanted to hear :( .) Thanks Firebird!

Yeah, I too notice my little slip up. I don't like editing my posts after the fact unless the error is so bad people don't know what I'm talking about. Like "Slag would cause an earthquake" or "Sludge would breath fire." Whoops, I switched the names of the Dinobots, time to edit the post!
I proof read before I submit so if I'm wrong twice I'll just live with it.

I might be confused....Which Line's Hotshot are they repainting as Nightbeat. With tht pic you posted i think the transformation of Energon Hotshot is cool for nightbeat, better than Cybertron Hotshot. BUT the toy for energon Hotshot is mutilated by the damn powerlinx gimmick. might have to do my first kitbash.

No, it is Energon Hot Shot. Even in the first pic I posted, Nightbeat is depicted with the Powerlinx split crouch. I highly doubt he'll actually use it in the book but they'll leave it in the toy rather than retool it out.

I don't even own the G1 figure but I need this for my Classics shelf! He's such a great and largely underrated character. I just wish they do more obscure characters like him in the future.

I got my TF Club mag today in the mail and it says "Spring" for the release date on the both the Seacons and Nightbeat.

There's some nice pics of both the Seacons and Nightbeat in the new issue BTW. They both look great.

Hey Iron Maniac,

Does the picture of Nightbeat in the magazine show just a remolded head, or do they give him a headmaster partner?

It shows him in vehicle mode only. Flames on the side, same exact color scheme as G1. Looks real sharp.

I found the page in question on the net and I must say, I like what I see. I was going to post it here but I checked with Cyber Bishop first and he said it wasn't cool but trust me, sweet overall design and a flawless likeness in car mode. I'm looking forward to it. Now I have to join the TCC!

Sounds zazzy, I can't wait to get him and put him with the rest of my classics!

I hear ya, that's exactly what I'm going to do as well. I think a lot of people are going to put Nightbeat in with their classics.

I gotta tell you, I could care less about Nightbeat. But man alive, the Club figures are so excellent that I can't help but know I'm going to order one. I just hope they can do something about the powerlinx element from the E-Hot Shot mold. Sorry if someones' brought that up already.

I look at it this way: Nightbeat was a Headmaster. That's half way to Powerlinx anyway. And if they never did things like Headmasters, I don't think they would have do the Powerlinx nearly as heavily in Energon if at all. Every Autobot can plug into every other Autobot in its scale, even repaints of the same mold!

It would be amazing if they use the existing powerlinx connection on the mold to give him a headmaster. Instead of remolding a head, to remold a minicon that could connect to Nightbeat as his head then just don't include the parts that had Hot Shots head attached to the engine area.

It's very unlikley to happen. But it would be a great addition.

Highly unlikely as the Powerlinx connector is in the middle of his torso. I would like to see him get a Minicon partner to act as Muzzle. The only difference between Targetmasters and Minicons is that one isn't a robot and one is. Powermasters too. So a Minicon pistol works for me. A Muzzle is part of a gun after all!

Agreed. The Powerlinx port is just too big for a simple modification, but both of these ideas (headmaster or targetmaster minicon) are good ones. And I don't even like minicons. My guess would be that since the magazine only had a picture of Nightbeat in vehicle mode that they haven't finished the head sculpt yet. So its possible that they are still working on a way to fix the powerlinx part.
