Yesterday I was at toys r us at everett mall here in Washington State when I stumbled across a hard to find g.i.joe 25th Anniversary crimson Guard figure, to let you know just how hard he is to find it could be compared to 08 bumblebee back when he first came out. But that is not what will interest transfans the command file it says that the crimson guards have stumble across some alien technology that will help turn the tide in the battle against g.i.joe, so I wonder if this is hasbro way of dropping hint that there may be future line of g.i.joe and transformers toys.

Best sumed up...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDwTDndm4b8Like the dress style of far off future year 2005, and their transports that are far beyond anything we can concieve in this day and age, the secret past technology of Cobra is an incomprehensible well known secret, much like this glimpse into tomorrow.

Be nice to see a 16" Night Raven Starscream w/3 3/4" Cobra Commander to ride in the cockpit, but it's unlikely, IMO: Hasbro is pretty much squandering its 'crossover' appeal with the SWTFs, and even then they haven't bother to let actual TF design team members in on it; hence the crappy robot modes.
Then again, a few years ago I would have laughed at you if you hinted at the possibility of Hasbro actually making toys of the human TF characters; now suddenly we have movie multi-packs with figurines of Sam and Sector 7 and etc. If Hasbro DOES have something cooking for a combined G.I. JOE/TF line, I sincerely hope they're not going to p**s around on the TF end of things this time.

Also I hope they don't screw up the g.i.joe end of things either because up untill the g.i.joe 25th Anniversary figures. I have had no interest in g.i.joe because most of figures have sucked, but these g.i.joe figures have detail that hasn't been seen in a long time I would say they are the eqivilent of transformer classics your favorite g.i.joe figures with update back story and look.

It's been the dream for a long time.
They'd probably cop out with a bunch of cycle bots, but a return of something say OverLord sized that could fit a Joe would be awesome.
Now just imagine an entire line like that!

Figure I might as well bring up the prototype from G2:
http://www.toyarchive.com/Transformers/Prototypes/Generation2/GiJoeTransformers1.htmlIt looks like a brick, but if was released back during G2, I would have so ate that up. I LOVED G.I. Joes as a kid, probably more than Transformers, but that was probably cause it was easier to get Joes than Transformers, and many of the ones I have left are very battle scarred, and missing thumbs. But today I like Transformers more, mainly cause I didn't have that many as a kid, and because almost every figure is unique in some fasion.
But would I want a G.I. Joe crossover today? Maybe, it would be a nice idea, and I'd probably get a couple. But they'd have to be big, but that's never really a bad thing.....
And now I wish even more they did it when I was a kid, cause I'm thinking of how much fun I would have had.

Yeah but on that same note now you can afford it!
I had just a few toys as a kid myself, I had alot of Joes though cause I could steal them from my brothers store(sssshhhhhh). I only had a handful of TFs and most were second hand.
Well anyway, when I started making my own money, I didn't buy a new car like my brothers and sisters did. I went to the toystore!
Why, cause if I couldn't have them then, I'm having them now. You gotta treat yourself, and if Hasbro would do an actual crossover that we've been clamoring for over 20yrs to get...
Hell, that would be the crown jewel to all this!
(then all they'd have to do is work in Voltron and The Wheeled Warriors)

I'm sure there is a TF/GI Joe crossover line in the works. But what with the 25th Anniversary of GI Joe this year and the 25th Anniversary of Transformers next year, I think Hasbro has got their hands full for the next few years. Perhaps in 2010 at the earliest.

So in short, save my money, and make some shelf space!

Some of the Sigma 6 Toys are 2" scale aren't they? If Hasbro does a GI/TF Crossover, I'd bank on the humans being done at that size. Not what I'd prefer, but far more practical. And of course, the 8" Sigma 6 figures have already had a Transforming Motorcycle haven't they?

Don't forget Flint kind of made a breif cameo in an early episode of that season, though it was a hologram. His daughter, Marissa, was a reoccuring character during that time.

Cobra Commander is in one of the G1 episodes where some Autobot minds are put into human bodies.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDwTDndm4b8There are the comic crossovers.
Energon Snowcat is based on a GIJoe Snowcat vehicle.
