I was in the KB toys in the mall here and next to the movie figures there was another set of TF labled "Heroes of Cybertron". They had a Cliffjumper that looked to be the orginal G1 mold and he was a key chain. They also had Silverbolt and afew more of the Aerial Bots, but they were pretty small. I wasn't in the store long enough to see what else they had, so there could have been more of them.

so has anyone else seen these before?

No, but now I hope I do!

Still where they the Origional Heros of Cybertron, or recasts, cause those would make lousy keychains.

Heroes of Cybertron -

- Originally small plastic figurines - always meant to make some Heroclix with them.

- Title reused for G1 4 Minibots (Bumblebee, Brawn, Cliffjumper, and Windcharger) remolded with loops on the rear bumper for a key chain. These were released a loooooong time ago, but instead of being at major retail stores like Walmart, they were could more commonly be found at places like KB, Hot Topic, Hastings, and expensive toy stores that carrying educational toys, Playmobil, etc. IIRC, I did see them at bigger stores, but not in the main toy section, and not for long.

- A lot of Japanese exclusive Micromaster molds were repainted and released here in the states as KB exclusives. I thought they were under the Universe banner, but maybe they were HoC. All of the Japanese Micromasters were members of 6-bot combiner teams. There was a construction vehicle team, an airplane team, a train team, and a rescue team. The construction team was repainted and renamed as an homage to G1 Devastator, the airplane team as G1 Superion, and the rescue team as G1 Defensor.

Here's Universe Micromaster Devastator.
Universe Micromaster Superion.
Universe Micromaster Defensor.

I actually really wanted to collect these, but couldn't really justify the high cost per bot.

OH WAIT! those things, yeah I had mine for a good couple years or more now, I though you ment the PVC guys.

If you notice the Encore pics of the upcoming MiniBots have the same keychain loop molded on them.

This same KB line up(I know other stores sold them too) had some pretty neat faction laser pointers.

O yeah they did have the Autobot pointers. I probably would have bought afew of those little bots if I could be in the store any longer. I couldn't see the prices for any of them though, for some reason they seemed to be unmarked. Any idea how much these usually go for?

I remember 2 at KB for about $4

Then this past summer 2 more at Walmart for about the same.

However, Hot Topic had them for $12, and realy, how could you pass on that!?!

Yeah I picked him up today too. Damn KB Toys charged 4 bucks for it, but o well, its still pretty cool. I also saw that they were selling movie deluxes for $12 instead of $10 like they sell for at Walmart or Target.
