Don't know if anyone else found it yet but here's the link:

I don't think its much cooler than Hasbros but much more true to Gen 1.

Not really surprising; I mean, Tomy painted Classics Megatron in "G1 accurate" colors.

Takara just knows how to do stuff right.

I find myself always willing to pay more for Takara brand.

I don't have much of the classics line, may start with these badboys.

Excelent, it looks really awesome. Thank goodness we have Takara Tomy! Maybe they could move to Portugal :D he he. Hopefully they'll release a show accurate G1 Astrotrain reissue on the Encore series . If they do, I'm on first line for it!

I find it odd that Takara is the one coming up with the Show Accurate colors after giving us the original MP Starscream in such Thundercraker-like coloring. Kudos to them, though. The colors look good.

My rear end. How can it be show accurate if he never appeared in the cartoon with that body?

Ehh. Title is better on this one. saw it way before i saw yours.

Also the colors are nice but the figure is still the Worst classic out.

In all fairness, zodconvoy, your title is not leading one to believe that this is anything more than a debate on what colors it is, or could be.

I am sure that the story will get edited with your name as credit.

I ordered another one of these cause I like the colors so much!

i never realized how many people disliked this toy. he's my favorite in the classics line to date. I always loved the character and the original toy too. This repaint looks great, really makes me regret not getting that e-hobby repaint.

All right, I earned a cookie! I agree that the toy is umm crappy but now it's G1 Accurate crap. And that's what really counts.

Once again, I envy Japan for having brains in the matter of knowing what things should look like.

Umm, how can it be show accurate? Especially when thats a bullet train and not a steam engine lol

But, all criticism aside, I'm loving hese colors! I may pick this one up instead of the Hasbro version.

It's nice that TakaraTomy has made there Classics more G1 toon accurate colors but they missed a spot on two of the figures. Starscream should've had a blue nosecone tip and the front half of the train on Astrotrain should've at least been alternating purple and grey stripes not purple and white.

However, I love their take on Classics Megatron over Hasbro's colors but with a third kid on the way I can't shell out that extra cost when I already have Hasbro's Classics Megatron. #-o

Even though I already have Classics Arstrotrain, I might pick this up if it really is repainted like in the pic.(though I'd rather pick up the Grimlock or Mirage repaint, even though I have them also)

Cartoon Starscream didn't have the blue nosecone though, that was just the toy.

Meh, I'm going to wait until we get some better close up shots before I make a final judgment on getting this guy over the Hasbro version. All the pictures are either too small or too blurry to really make out any signifigant details.

Classics Astrotrain and Megatron were the last two from the Classics line. I had been trying to find good prices on ebay but these Takara paint schemes are far superior so I just placed my order for these two over at BBTS
