Takara Tomy have updated their site with images of the USA Masterpiece Starscream Figure.
It appears that the TakaraTomy release will feature similar weathering and packaging as the USA release, and will cost 10,500 Yen.

Hmm, to bad.
I think, I'll pass on that.
If I had wanted the weathering effect and the loud Classic packaging, I'd have gotten the Walmart version.
I was hoping for the classy MP packaging and a clean Starscream.

Well I hope this gives everyone a second chance at the toy, especially for who couldn’t get it the first time around because of the overly exaggerated and quite imaginative “Scalpers”.
Oh, did I mention that my army of Scalper legions troopers have sailed on a boat to Japan to swipe the toy before you could ever even dream of it?

Well it is the "USA" version, so I cant imagine it would have been too different than what was offered here. But I am glad I got mine despite satan's scalper legions hording up all those angelic toys.

My brother got one for Christmas, if I get enough money, I'm going to have to pick one up for myself.

I wonder if Takara bought up some of Hasbro's stock for their customers, causing the drought we had for this figure?

Bah!! I was hoping at least for separate decals. I, for one, don't like upside down faction insignia in Screamers bot mode. Doesn't make any sense to me.
Guess it's time to open up MP Screamer. Had kept him MISB in case I needed to Ebay him and buy the Takara version. Seems like the US version is as good as we'll get now.

Easy enough to fix with rubbing alcohol and repro labels.
The weathering comes off easy too. In bot mode it is unnoticeable.
He really is a great figure!

I haven't seen this on bbts. Is there any other place I can order one, free of scalpers?

It's on BBTS, but it's expensive. About $95, I think.

Hmmm not a bad plan. Now I just gotta find some rubbing alcohol in Australia, Bunnings didn't have any last time I checked. Thanks for the idea!

Cause they know Walmart screwed us and we want it, hence they can get away with it!

It does suck that those who were waiting for the Takara version are getting screwed now. Perhaps it will be made with a better quality plastic and paint. Twice the amount of money than the original for the same figure just with Japanese instructions seems unreasonable to me.

What happened Takara? You delayed the release of US MP Starscream and told us that it would have different weathering. What a let down.
