Hey,
I am new to seibertron. I loved Optimus Prime growing up and have started a decent collection that seems to grow at an alarming rate. I am also an artist. I sculpt, paint, sketch and design whenever I find the time. I have seen many custom figures online in galleries and was inspired to create one of my own by way of a Gundam kit. The similarites in some gundam/transformer characters are quite amusing actually. Anyways,it is a work in progress I guess if anything I'm wondering if any of my fellow TF fans dig it. Now is the fun phase where I get to add all the details and refine every little inch of this figure before giving it a matte finish and custom base. Can't wait to show off the finished product...
Thanks!

Lookin' good

You said you used a master grade kit? But that is a titanium stand, right? So wouldnt the gundam parts be much greater in proportion? assuming all MGs are 1/60 scale and up.

oh, and welcome to seibertron :APPLAUSE:

Thanks!
I guess maybe it isn't a master grade kit? It is only slightly bigger than the Revoltech Convoy. As I said it is a work in progress but at least you get a glimpse of my vision :)

It looks like he used a MG Gundam ver Ka, which would be about an inch or so taller than TiT Rodimus Prime. It could also be a MG GM Kai, which be about the same height as the Gundam Ka.

Oh, and just so's you knows, MG kits are 1/100 scale only. The 1/60 scale is usually reserved for Perfect Grades or "Real Details", which are pretty much nothing more than overblown versions of their smaller 1/100 HG counterparts, for example, the 1/100 HG Freedom and 1/60 Freedom are virutally identical, except that the 1/60 has some more details to it and poseable hands.

As for the Prime custom itself, it's looking good, but the head seems a wee bit too large for the body.
