Metallic Megatron??

Saw this on ebay and was wondering if anyone else has and could it actually be real.. meaning not a repaint and put back in the box....but says its not a repaint and never been opened... hmmm
I think it looks better than the premium

I doubt it is real. The plastic thingies that should hold his arms to the box are missing.

Ahhhh yes, good call, didnt notice that, I saw the ones on his wings and feet but missed those. Didnt think it was actully true.

I'm going with repaint, I was looking for any signs that it may be a prerelease Premium, but the packaging shoots that one right down.
Still it's a nice repaint though.

Fake story! Clearly a kitbash. Notice how the photos don't show the top of the box. It's clearly been opened. Plus, no wires.

Funny, listing is still up, but when I tried to report it, ebay said the listing didn't exist. Hmmmmm........conspiracy????

So the buyer emails me back after I call him out and admits he's not sure if its custom or original. Says he bought it off the shelf at wallymart like that.
Someone just got suckered for over 200 bucks for a custom they coulda had done for 50 tops.

I suppose someone could have started a repaint, decided they didn't like it, then returned it to the store... but I find that highly unlikely. That's a pretty audacious return to make.

It just keeps getting better. This guy says he sent pics to HASBRO and they didn't recognize the figure, that it "could be an early Premium series release".
HASBRO doesn't even know its own products? Riiiiiggghhht.

Considering some of the responses and the horrible mistransformations we have seen at toy shows it would seem they don't know their products very well actually. But then that is to be expected with a large company. Not every idiot that gets a job knows what the company actually does. Especially the sort of people that respond to consumer mail.
