Telling the difference between a KO and Original Swoop

I was skeptical about it but looked closer and felt the stickers were worn enough that he may be an original, but I wasn't sure given the price. Swoop on E-Bay AU complete tends to go for a hell of a lot more.
So I took a chance and he arrived today. It looks like a 20+ year old figure, the stickers seems a little worn and some of the chrome is discoloured.
But what I want to know is, out of the box, what are the physical differences between a KO and an original Swoop so I know for sure whether this is a KO or not, and if I need to gut it for it's neck connector to fix up my other original Swoop.
