Following up on our earlier report concerning Transformers: Animated 2008 releases, comes another Hasbro Press release, this time concerning the Universe and Movie lines.

This Press Release has listed the upcoming products for both the Universe and Movie lines, general release time information, and an approximate price for each Class of figures.

The first Wave of Universe figures is set to arrive in stores in Fall (Spring in the Southern Hemisphere), with Deluxes to retail for US$9.99, Ultras for US$26.99 and Robot Heroes for US$5.99.

The New Movie toy still to be released for 2008 are the Movie Blasters. Both the Ratchet and Bumblebee Blasters feature electronic lights and sounds, and will retail for US$19.99, and will sell alongside continued Movie figures in the Deluxe, Leader and Screen Battle classes.

Hasbro have also issued over 230 licenses to support the Transformers brand, licenses range from apparel, food stuffs, stationary, electronics and health and beauty products.

Man, everytime they release this info its like waiting for Christmas again.

Hmmm, I wonder what the chances of them finishing the Cyber Slammers line with Megatron, Starscream and Bonecrusher...

More Robot Heroes will be cool though, but the mainline movie stuff needs to finish already, and I'm really not that interested in Universe...

And than after I eat wash my hair with Optimus Prime shampoo and Bumblebee Conditioner. Then spray on some of that Megatron colongne.

So no Voyager Classics, or did they just reclassify them to jack up the price point?

I can't wait for the new Robot Heroes G1 releases!

That news made my day, seriously. I'm tired of all these Movie-verse Robot Heroes that don't even look like themselves. The G1 RH toys had a way of capturing the bots personalities that I couldn't get enough of.

I do hope we get some more new molds in the Movie line...and a Skywarp repaint.

Hold on ultras? So are they axing the voyager class? If they are that blows man.

They aren't axing the Voyager size class. As Clearly Animated has Voyager sized figures.

Just that the First few Waves of Universe don't have any figures in that size class. However, that doesn't mean future waves can't or won't have figures in that size class.

Meh...didn't we already know most of this stuff???

What.. what's next? The Infinitespark line?

They wanted to start using Ultras in place of the Voyagers so they could put more into them. At least that's what they said at the Botcon panel.

Starscream would be... interesting.

Oh well, guess I can save up to get two sets of 2.0s and Robot Heroes by then.

Is there any release info about the Premium movie figures?

I thought there's gonna be new molds of Movie toys.

Yikes.. don't even go there man!

Saving all my cash for Classics Galvatron, Prowl and Powerglide then if there's no other good TFs in Universe I'm waiting for Animated Blackarachnia and Oil Slick and I'm hoping to god they'll push the release dates for Animated forward.

Ill probably get all the Classics line. It's really the focus of my collection-revival.
