Why does everyone think the botcon set is alternate reality

I read in all the topic related to this years botcon set that they are going for an alternate reality story line. But from the look of the figures couldn't also be zombie autobots as well. I would love to know were people are getting the alternate reality idea from since I haven't been able to find a single on line source confirming this as being the case.
