Two new tidbits of information to add:

Blaster will be a repaint of Cybertron Soundwave, and Heavy Duty is a repaint of Cybertron Quickmix.

All I have to say about Blaster is 'YES!' and that's probably the coolest news I will hear all weekend related to Transformers.

Not a huge fan of the Cybertron Soundwave mold (I just can't get mine to stay together that well), but even more than that I'm just disappointed in repaints for wave 1 of this line... Is this going to be how we get this price point for Universe?

Anyway, I'll admit to being more excited if somehow they could make Blaster's bomb transform into a lion or a rhino....

Sunsaker looks much better. With the fact of Cybertron Soundwave as my favorite soundwave ever I'm getting Blaster for sure

Its a good job I aren't a completionist for every line. What happened to the realism aspect of the Universe line that stops us getting a completely red Powerglide?

To everyone that doubted me when I said that if they start doing Blaster toys again it would just be SoundWave redecos...

See we care that they where siminal alts with different transformations, Hasbro doesn't though.

This is a huge part of why, awesome as he'd be, I never want to see MP-SoundWave, cause Takara is starting to get just as bad

Oh and I'm holding off on PowerGlide, just cause I'm sure we'll get a red redeco. As of now, he looks good, but more like that white repaint he had, what was it called, Bad Boy or something like that. Can't help but wonder though if Ratchet wants his color scheme back?

Tbh this being a repaint doesnt bother me much as ive never seen the soundwave version of it so it'll always be a blaster to me, and he's got a whole new look, so mayber a new head wont be that bad. I hope this isnt going to be how all blaster/soundwaves are from now on though. and i believe i told you i doubt it would happen, so i apolagise to you now bud

i hope blaster comes with a new hexagon minicon. its too bad hasbro couldnt give him a new head sculpt.

Wait what were those big words about ALL new molds?
and they could have given Blaster a new head at least.
No not happy, won't be buying the repaints from a different line.

Soundwave and Quickmix repaints look great, very fun molds too, nice to see them come back.

Octane and Onslaught are beautiful.

The other three are... kind of... well, plain. Sunstreaker and Prowl are decent, but I can't help but think I've seen these same toys before... many, many times. And...

Powerglide ugly = plane ugly = just plain ugly

I have to say, I am a big fan of "Cybertron Defense" Blaster. I agree that he should've been given a new head sculpt, but I'm fine with this. Now if I could get "Cybertron Defense" Perceptor I would be happy (and not that Mini-con version). Even with being accurately transformed, I'm still not diggin' Powerglide....I'll wait till Takara gives him a red paint job. The rest look great!

Meh. If there is a new critter with Blaster... maybe.

Call me crazy (braces) but I wasn't so into Jetfire from the last set of classics, so I didn't pick him up. I think the same might be for Powerglide. He just doesn't feel the same as the others to me. I like it when the big bots are really meant to be big guys- closer to what our swat man is like- but he was never a favorite character.

I'd much prefer a larger sized Grimlock, or some beast bot. A Predacon maybe. Big critters, and little carbots for them to eat.

Oh well, all the others are a definite.

The fact that Blaster and Soundwave will no longer be distinctly different molds is very dissapointing, as Blaster is one of my favorite autobots, if not character, of all time (I wish I still had mine from when I was a li'l kid...) He's definately getting a retooling if by some misfortune I get him- unless I could convince some one to make me a Blaster from my old Walkman

Heavy Load looks pretty good, actually. I missed out on Quick Mix, which I regret immensely as I loved the quirky Scottish cement truck, so I'll definately get him.

As for blaster, as ive just said in the ODB thread, i think if hasbro does pay any attention to fans, they will realise how much love there is for blaster out there (he is by FAR my favourite) and i think they will soon realise they can afford to make blaster his own mold

Your kidding? I missed out on Cybertron Soundwave, but I would have rather had him as Soundwave. Why cant we get Blaster as a tape deck, why?

So its a good compromise still 5 new molds and 2 repaints in the first wave.

So who is Heavy Duty supposed to be a homage of?

i suppose it just helps hasbros bank balance along rather than pay homage

I'm not sure that he is, but you could say he a G2 Mixmaster, but his coloring reminds me a lot of Micromaster Erector.

I don't care about those two repaints, but the rest of the gallery is "ZOMG I CAME BRICKS"-worthy.
