Transformers Movie toys, are you getting them all, or are you only getting the ones you like?

As for me, I found some that I really like, and I found some that I really wouldn't buy at all.. I love the Leader class, but I'm the one who wants them all to be released in Leader class or Masterpiece, but I'll make do with what is out. I am more inclined towards the super detailed and realistic Transformers, the kiddie toy stuff never interests me, so for me...the more complex transformation and realistic coloring, the better..

with that:

Leader optimus Prime
Leader Megatron
Voyager Styarscream
Voyager Blackout
Vayager Barricade
Voyager Iron hide

I think that May be it for this movie, the ultimate Bumblebee, voyager Bumblebee, and Ratchet are complete disappointments to me.. Voyager Prime is ok I guess.. but his supersoaker guns are not impressive..

I just wish to see at least 5 Movie bots in Masterpiece format from takara.. That would be awesome!! I would want:

A Masterpiece Bumblebee (complete with Battlemode face and realistic Chest modeled after the movie designs as apposed to the fold down version the deluxe or Voyager version has...not to mention his legs are not at all like they are in the movie..

A Masterpiece Optimus Prime (complete with trailer and realistic Proportions like in the movie with ultra high articulation adn chrome colored parts as apposed to the grey toy color in the voyager and Leader class..Though i would say that the leader class has more realistic coloring then the voyager..Also he could have a realisitic light up gun, and possibly a Matrix, Wether seen in the movie or not, that would be cool..

A Masterpiece Megatron of course (complete with realistic proportions and maybe some electronic movie sounds..)

A Masterpiece Starscream (he would be better proportioned and look more realistic in jet form without giant missle launchers under the wings with hands that could be covered in the giant gatling guns, or something to that effect..either way Takara/Tomy would have figured out the transformation..

A Masterpiece Blackout (this would be the crowning achievement of the line that would be colored correctly and in detail, and would have the best realistic transformation..ahh to dream a dream..

And maybe to round off that line a Masterpiece Ironhide, since he has the best sculpt I have seen so far, i would n't want ratchet or Jazz or any other in masterpiece mode, they just wouldn't be worth it.. but then again I haven't seen tthe movie yet..

I will say though If I have to wait and see, I think that Bonecrusher is cool, and I may purchase him, depecnding on how his toy looks, i hope they do him in Voyager, but it's too much to ask to see him in Leader class..though the fight seen on the highway would make a great 2 pack optiums and Bonecrusher

:BOT: So far, I'm sticking to the Voyager versions of Optimus and Megatron just for budget reasons. But I maybe tempted to buy the Leader class... :CON:

I will just wait until they are all released by Hasbro and Tommy/Takara to see which one has the better paint applications and then I will buy them all. I don't want to deal again with something like Vector Prime colors again.

Same as every line.
Get the ones I like, and dont get the ones I dont.
Unless I happene ot be in the mood to buy em at the time. And unless it is a charecter I feel I need to buy (most versions of Megs, Prime and Starscream).

Only the ones I like.

So far, that list consists of:

Ultimate Bumblebee

Leader Class Megatron (Voyager = yuck, ice wings? Really!?!)
Leader Class Optimus Prime (Voyager's not bad, just doesn't do it for me.)

Too bad there's no Ultra Class, but anywho....

Voyager Class Blackout
Voyager Class Ironhide
Voyager Class Ratchet
Voyager Class Starscream

Deluxe Class Barricade
Deluxe Class Bonecrusher
Deluxe Class Brawl
Deluxe Class Bumblebee (70's and '08 Versions)
Deluxe Class Jazz

I still haven't decided on Leader Class Brawl yet. I'm not sure which is the definitive figure....Deluxe or Leader Class. (I'll probably end up buying both.)

Basically, I just want the in-movie figures first, and then buy what else there might be if it interests me enough. As it is, I think I'll save quite a bit of dough on this line.

Only a few here, and most of them are up for debate - especially the ones we haven't seen yet, like Deluxe Arcee.

I'm not sure yet. I think a big part of my decision will be based on how I like the movie.

The line seems small enough that I wouldn't mind getting all of 'em...excluding recolors and whatnot, of course :P

like not like

Well, obviously get the ones I like, skip the ones I don't like....

Although that strategy was easier with, say, Armada and Energon, where there was a significant amount of stuff I didn't like... with Cybertron and just about every other line, that strategy is really not realistic...

But Transformers: The Movie, might just bring it back to life :)

I am certainly staying away from Starscream. The design is bad enough, but I could have justified buying a toy of him and calling it another name, making up a new bio for it... but the toy really stinks too... so no.

Ironhide and Voyager Prime all the way - cool toys, must have.

Ratchet in and of himself is ok... just not Ratchet to me... maybe I'll get him and rename him....

Bumblebee is kinda bland...we'll see...

Blackout for sure.... is that his name?...the helicopter dude :)

Don't forget the only non-movie character in the movie line we've seen a full gallery of - Wreckage. He totally rules. In fact, it was this pic in Seib's gallery that sold me on him:

That pose just rawks INCREDIBLY hard.

Yeah Wreckage rocks I'm gonna pick him up.

The plan is to just buy the ones I like.
So far the list looks like:
Voyager Prime
Leader Megs
Voyager Blackout
and the best looking version of Brawl, Barricade and Ironhide.
Arcee (most definitely)

and the nick nacks: Potato Prime, Prime Voice changer helmet, Prime Blaster.

and what looks cool really.
Bumblebee, Ratchet, Bonecrusher, Starscream and Jazz dont really interest me unless they really do have some stand out toys.

Yep, I'm getting Wreckage and only Wreckage as far as I know, he looks good and has high poseability.

I thought the '08 version would only be used as the alt for the ultimate BB.

Are you serious? I fully expect the recolours (well the repaints of MOVIE toys, not the repaint of earlier line toys) to be the best part of the line. You know when they take the charecters and give em their G1 colours.

Well as much as i like the robot mode of wreckage, I hate his alt mode the same, so with him i doubt I'll pick him up, yet I could do it just to rip off his head and create my own fan-made Megatron..now that would be cool.. I hope this doesn't offend any of you, but I like his body, but that "starwars" Troop Transport mode just really doesn't do it for me..but that face sculpt has Megatron written all over it!!

I'll probably have to restrict myself to one of each TF going by size class to get the line as 'accurate' as possible. I doubt I can afford much more than that.

I'll probably do the same, but I will make an exception for Optimus Prime and Megatron, for I would like to have 1 to open and 1 to keep closed of them..oh and maybe Blackout...Actually especially blackout, he's like the badest Transformer I have seen, i love his design, and not to mention the whole helicopter thing is sweet.. i mean I was a huge fan of go-bots back in the day simply because they had a badass helicopter named "Coptor" and he was cool.. now finally a Realistic helicopter whose a badass in his own right in the transformers movie.. I stick by my statement, I think Blackout is the breakout transformer in this movie and will instantly become the fan favorite similar to Wolverine and Boba Fett's popularity..
