Well at least we've finally got a actual release date. Jun 22 for the battle pack. the rest will be coming in august.

Does that mean Universe will get pushed back further into Fall. Say October, November?

I so want that Leader Megatron already.

Be on the look out for the new waves into 2008. We may introduce new characters along with our more traditional ones, but there will always be homage to the G1 series mixed in (hint,hint).

august! thats a killer, at least theres some neat encores up and coming to sweeten the time. Its good news in a way, it means that until june 22nd (for the 2 pack) i dont need even bother wasting time 'just checking' the toy isles in target!

Though...with Hasbro pulling out all the stops...(apparently) that could mean Arcee among others. Ironhide's mentioned as being a show character on one of the websites I Googled a while back.

Yeah....I'm not good with that. This isn't even March yet and we're talking August. I might just have to buy 'em out of China.

Unless they plan on stretching the show out for a looong loong time. Or...they're giving us more seasons than we were promised. Someone had hinted at them going over the two mentioned seasons.

Who says its been pushed back? As far as I can remember this is the first release date for the line and everyone just speculated it would be earlier. Plus it says Deluxe, Voyager and Battle pack will be out on June 22 and Five more assortments to come in August.

No. Actually, this is what it says:

Animated Deluxe, Voyager and Optimus vs Megatron: The Battle Begins pack will be on-shelf 6/22 with five more assortments available beginning in August.

To me, that sounds like there will be several different Optimus/Megatron formats.

I agree with the above posting that I read it as stating the Animated series (deluxes, 2-pack, etc.) will be out on June 22nd, with more product to follow the initial release in August.

I think the main news page here on Seibertron even posted it that way.

To me that sounds like wave one will come out in June and wave two will come out in August, they also had a pic of bumblebee, Voyager Prime and the two-pack in the insert included with movie stockade, above the picture it said “available in June 08”.

I guess the G1 -homage is the earth mode Megatron, his robot mode is basically stylised G1 Megs.

Leader Megs is looking fantastic in bot mode. Not so crazy about the alt mode but the bot made is great!
