Dude, in open space there is no gravity, so therefore there is no up or down, so Megatron can fly upside down he wants.
And the question of the wheel flipping back in, well a jet flys, it doesn't roll XD Besides, a kid with a toy of an alien jet will be running around the room holding it in his/her hands making SVOOOOOM noises.

Also cannon backwards = engine, maybe?
This design's been used a lot, alt mode - engine, robot mode cannon.

Other than that, great video, thanks ^^ I've been wanting to see a review of that. I can't remember, is that the voyager class version?

yea it is voyager class...

and for the record...their is gravity in space :P just very small amounts...but what do you think holds our planet in it's orbit...the gravity of the sun....and the gravity of the sun is held by something too. So gravity is there. Regardless of that little physics lesson haha i doubt a kid is gonna think of that sorta stuff. The wheels are there as part of a landing gear set up...jets need to land sometimes and they need wheels to do it..it's stil a design flaw in my opinion :P

but with the "engine" possiblity..it still doesn't explain how in the show...the "gun/engine" was below him...pointing forward

Open space meaning space outside of the gravity reach of a planet or star. Emphasis outside. There'd only be the gravity of small floating items (rocks, ship parts, waste), which isn't much.
And Meg's design suggests he'd land like a helicopter as opposed to an earth jet; hover above the ground & slowly touch down so the flaw you suggested wouldn't affect it.

The show is illogical XD
Nah, in that respect you've got me, 'twas just an idea.

I actually like the hugeness of his fusion canon, but dang, that alt mode makes no sense.
