for me a major one is OP.
sorry I liked him in Beastwars, but in anything else...
the only way I would probably like him is if he
transformed into the truck that MadMax drove in Road Warrior.

Toywise, I never really liked the Jetstorm/Stormjet/Jiaxhus/universe Skywarp mold. I can’t really say why, I just don’t like that mold.

Toon-wise, Starscream. I just don't get everyone's preoccupation with that guy.
Toy-wise... I don't have the fig, but that Collector's Club Astrotrain that just came out. His buggy eyes seriously throw me off, and I'm kinda picky when it comes to face sculpts...
characters i hate

Toon wise: Gears just always bugged me. Recently, I found Deus Ex Machina Prime... err, Vector Prime to be more than a little blah.
Toy wise: The Breakdown mold just does nothing for me.

I always hated G1 Galvatron on the cartoon. He was insane, run by his emotions, a complete 180 from the movie character. Of course, Leonard Nimoy's voice helps.

Toon-G1 Prime and Megatron. Prime is too perfect, Megs is a moron. Atleast Galvatron was Cobra Commander esc.
Toy-Alt Prime, just horrable.

characters: hate to sound cliche, but wheelie. the powerdashers and jumpstarters suck too. and waspinator just got on my nerves after a while
toys: well, quite a few of the mini-cons i thought were very unnessesary, especially the classics mini-cons. never really got into the action masters either... also...FU*K KISS PLAYERS!!!! perverted japanese sh*t.

Why ask this question. Every answer but the right answer is wrong.
The right answer, the universal answer, the only answer is, drumroll please........WHEELIE, WHEELIE, WHEELIE!!!!!! In every form ever!
Close 2nd is JP Daniel.

For characters that are absolutley loathesome, yep, Wheelie is the answer. I was never attached to Prowl or Bluestreak, so when Megs leveled them in TF:TM, I didn't mind (Ironhide & Ratchet totally different story). But for characters I've just never cared for on a personal level, G1 Blurr and Warpath are prettty high up there. Remember that episode in 'Five Faces of Darkness' when the featured Autobots consisted of Wheelie & Blurr going back to Earth, and over-the-top-jive Blaster talking defense with Warpath? Yeah, best episode ever.
Toy wise, I've already made a post this week about BW Bonecrusher, so I'll leave him alone. Manterror is probably the biggest disappointment. If you are an Insecticon fan, what's better than a mantis? A mantis that lays down and transforms into a robot that falls over? Fantastic. Sign me up for three, please.

Skyfire/Jetfire from the G1 Show, he was the most boring oversized Taxi ever
as far as toys go I am not a fan of BW Ironhide, he looks like he was mangled in some horrific car accident

Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. They made no impact on me in the cartoon and I've never even touched their toys.

G1 Blurr- Toon
Energon Ironhide- Toon
Talk about annoying. Blurr was so hopped up in intergalactic goofballs it is pure torture to hear him speak.
Ironhide just sucked all around. He reminded me of an ex-girlfriends little brother always hanging around when you wanted some action.
G1 Ultra Magnus- Toy
I liked the white cab, but the battle armor didn't do anything for me. It looked more like a siege tower. I know you guys love 'em, I just don't see the appeal.

Since cartoons rely on really over the top personalities to catch kids' eyes and ears, I'm not really particularly annoyed at any of the characters. Of course, I'm an animator so maybe I'm just biased.
Regarding toys, well, I've always preferred the more poseable figures. As a result, G1 figures do very, very little for me nowadays. I got a reissue Prime because he's so iconic, but by and large I'm more interested in the newer toys, since they have revolutionary things like knees. Classics, so far, is what G1 SHOULD have been.

I thought G1 Prime had knees. I'm pretty sure my G2 does and it's the same mold.

That he does. Unfortunately he lacks the hips to make sitting down a possibility anyway.
From all that I've seen since my days as a wee lad in the thick of G1, plastic beats diecast for everything except beating someone to death with the toy in question.
G1 had its good points, but those were mostly founded in the characters of the robots themselves. Nobody in their right mind would consider say, G1 Starscream a better toy than his Classics counterpart.

I think G1 Starscream looks better as a jet than Classics.
And I think G1 Astrotrain is better than the Classics.
'Trains alt modes were more realistic in G1 than Classics.

As a jet? maybe. But if you just want a real looking jet, there's model kits for that. The robot mode still looks like a doorstop.
Astrotrain might be a closer race, but the robot mode is still far, far better articulated in the Classics version. Plus, a bullet train seems a little more appropriate than a coal-driven model.

I don't have Classics Starscream yet, but I have a G1 Thundercracker reissue, and I really don't like how the jet's wings don't connect to the body. There's that little gap there and between the engines that just keeps it from looking right to me. I think personally that Classics Starscream looks better:

I love G1 for what it is though.
And as for figures I don't really care for? I'm just gonna say the overhyped Big Convoy mold. I have the Universe version, it's decent, but the beast mode just doesn't translate to the robot mode. Even though I rarely take it off the shelf, I prefer the Lio Convoy mold(I have the KO).
