Is the Titanium line coming back or is it done?

Unless the unproduced molds show up at a convention, they are done.

It seems to me that the line is dead.

Any chance they'll port the molds over to Universe and just make them plastic instead? I really wanted Primal Prime, god I hope they release him.
nevermind, just read this on TF Wikia:
n July of 2007, Hasbro announced that no new Titanium figures would be produced, and that the line would end after the upcoming release of figures already completed: Primal Prime, Soundblaster, Skywarp, War Within Grimlock, and War Within Prowl. But as of six months later, none of those figures had been released, and Hasbro announced that they no longer had any plans to mass-produce or release them.
Several other 6" figures were canceled at much earlier stages in development: Hasbro showed unfinished prototypes of Arcee, Cosmos, Shockwave and War Within Bumblebee (with an additional Cliffjumper head), purely for informational purposes, as they were very clear that they no longer had plans to complete development on those figures. However, the Transformers Collectors Club roundtable has suggested there "may still be hope" for these figures to be produced in some form as part of other toylines.

I really wanted that Primal Prime.

I really wanted WWI Grimlock, Prowl, BB and CJ, Cosmos and Shockwave.
Lets hope for them to come out in Universe.

Yeah, it's a shame. I was looking forward to Skywarp and the other WWI designs. I'm kinda blindly hoping they come out as a part of Universe or maybe as a Club exclusive.

I'd like them to come out in universe too, either as die cast or even hard plastic would be good enough for me, makes them more poseable.

I hope Cosmos gets re-released in some form. WWI Grimlock would have been nice as well. Ah well...

I been saying this all along. Recast the 6" WW figures in plastic with metallic paint jobs, replace that flimsy Jetfire figure with a "battle-damaged" deco of the Classics figure (Stormbringer), give us a friggin' Seeker 3-pack, leave Sunstorm and 'White Optimus' Magnus out of the line altogether, release Prowl and repaint him as Silver(Blue)streak and Smokescreen, release Grimlock, and give us the Cosmos, Bumblebee/Cliffjumper and Shockwave molds to boot. That's two, maybe three whole waves right there.
They could even have exclusive repaints with minor mold changes. Slap some tats and a "beat-up" multi-colored right arm on WW Megs and you have 'Origins' Arena Megatron. Shave off WW Optimus' antennae, brighten his colors and voila! Optronix. They wouldn't be entirely accurate, but hey, Hasbro's never been exactly masterful at accuracy.
Call the whole thing TRANSFORMERS UNIVERSE: BEGINNINGS and it's all good.

If they've made molds you have to think a few of these figures will eventually leak out somehow as a Club exclusive or at a Botcon.
You know, at stores here in PA they seemingly couldn't get rid of the Cybertron figures yet Titanium just flew off the shelves.
I mean, that G1 Ultra Magnus obviously was off the hook in terms of sales so go figure.

I don't know shite,
but I just have this feeling that a couple of these that had molds in the further stages of production could end up in the Universe Line.
In a way, it would be Hasbro's defense in putting out repaints such as Blaster and Dump Load;
it would make the line very eclectic, and more "anything goes".
AND, it would give Hasbro away to say these were "new molds" and "new figures" if they were done in plastic.

That's the way things were with the original Universe line. It was all repaints of figures from previous lines. People complaining about Blaster and Heavy Duty in Universe are either forgetting the first Universe line or are thinking that Universe 2.0 is only new Classics figures.
I agree with both you and Jaw Crusher, that if the unreleased Titaniums were rebuild in plastic, we might still get them afterall. Realistically, if the designs already exist, and maybe a prototype or two, how hard would it be to cast them in plastic? Hasbro owns the designs, and any molds that may exist, so why not use them somehow?

I'd have to agree also. From the Titanium protos, figures like Shockwave, Bumblebee/CJ, that had advanced Prototypes would not be to difficult to actually release in Universe. They are still new molds, and may work better in plastic than they would have in Die cast.
Figures like Primal Prime will have a harder time coming out in retail. Since they would essentially be deluxe versions of the bigger figures, although if they can add details, and some interesting accessories. they could make a sub line of highly detailed and articulate figures, like THS, only less expensive.
Being made in plastic has the advantage that they can add more joints and detailing, than in Die-cast.

I'm glad it's gone. The figures were clunky and heavy, with the die-cast metal. And the figures just looked bad. Plus, the transformations were weak.

I'm hoping they will be smart enough to port them over to Universe, they could cast them all in plastic and release the molds again. Probably make the transformations better and more durable and for Primal Prime they could tweak him a bit and give him a full face plate like he had in the Wreckers comic and maybe put a Wreckers symbol on him and release him as a new mold. I'm sure they'll release most of them in Universe anyways and probably in plastic since it's cheaper, Universe started with repaints anyways.

Time to bug Don Figueroa to see if he'll give up his protos/samples.
WWI Megatron could take a new head and sword and be Blugeon of something too.
WWI Starscream as Skywarp...
