I opened Primus a few days ago; does he come with batteries?, because if he does, I am thinking of taking them out.

Sure he does, take them out if you want.

He does, but his sounds are very unobtrusive, and not annoying at all.
They just activate when you plug in his Key into his chest or into the slot in his back and pull. Basically firing sounds and his eyes light up.

There's a battery or batteries in the omega lock (or whatever that thing is called that you need to transform him, my memory is foggy right now).

The Batteries should be fine to leave in for some time yet, and as others have mentioned, the Primus Light and sound effects are minimal and hard to trigger (unlike many others).
The battery covers are not hard to find, but you will need a small phillips head screwdriver.

Yes unlike the annoyance of a certain Scorpion-tank/plane bot we know of.

I could be wrong, since my primus is still in his box, but I thought the only batteries that are included are the cells in the omega lock? and the two double a's you have to provide yourself?

They come with him. I don't usually take my batteries out unless i store them away for a long period of time. Otherwise they should be just fine.

I don't recall having to put batteries in my Primus, yet you are correct, according to the packaging, (image taken from Seibertron's own Gallery) It does require two AA batteries not included.

I'm pretty sure my Primus didn't come with any batteries except for the omega lock. My one had the Unicron head with it. Maybe the Primus without the Unicron Head has batteries included?
