I like the extra flames on the final version, and the color red, but I prefer the shade of blue on the Prototype version.

They should have stuck with the dark blue. And the flap on the back of the truck mode needs to be silver or a dark color. Other than that the figure looks good. Ill be getting one.

The dark blue looked better

I don't know if I want this version yet since I want the Leader class version

I might have to try and find a test shot on ebay. I think I like the dark blue better.

I never did understand the new style sizes of figures, but this looks pretty good...and I hope the plastic quality is better than whats been said about the movie toys thus far

I must say, a most impressive figure. Plus it's Voyager, so there's no excuse for me not to get it.
I'm touch and go with the lighter blue, but it does suit more than the darker one I guess.

I'm lookin forward to this Prime indeed.

Its a tough call. I like the darker blue and fewer flames on the test shot, but I like the pseudo-chrome on the final version. I dont know. Theres not much that can be done, though. The final version is the final version. A test shot costs how much? A lot, Im sure. And dag nabbit, why wont my keyboard let me use the apostrophe?

That really was the final nail in the coffin. Anything beyond this is just piling on the crap.

Leader Class for me, this Voyager is a pass.

I have to agree, the darker blue on the test shot looks better.

But the lighter blue is a more Prime blue.

Also the wider chest "windows" in the test shot look better than the smaller squared ones in the final version.

I might have to color in the windows.

The silver finish to the inner body looks good.

I wonder if he can pull Armada Prime's trailer???

That reminds me, does Prime even have a trailer in the movie. I haven't seen anything so far that would indicate he does. I am just interested to see if he has one and if Hasbro will try to cash in on a trailer at some point.

I won't be buying that.

I think at some point in the movie he does pull "A" trailer, but not "his" trailer.
I think its just a generic trailer he borrowed from somewhere.

But its not an actual part of him. So we probably won't be seeing a trailered prime toy for the movie.

When is the last time we got a Prime with an actual trailer?
Energon? And no, a huge wing-assembly, with guns resembling fire truck parts on top is not a trailer despite what you might think.

Woo hoo! This means that the Voyager Class Optimus Prime toy is most likely my first official prototype toy. I'm extremely excited about that. I've never owned a "true" prototype before. I think once the movie comes out and once I own an official version of this toy, I will try to recoup my cost on the figure by selling it again on eBay once I own the final version. Or maybe I'll just be thrilled to own an actual prototype of a figure that is noticeably different than the official version. Hmmm ....

Not too shabby. I like the leader class we've seen better though.

Damn, I kinda hope that the final version shown here is not the actual final version. I hope they blend the two.

I like the testshot version's darker more "serious" blue, gold details, wider chest windows and upper leg details.
And on the final version I like the chrome, the black back of the truck, the more detailed paintjob on the head and the flames on the legs.

I actually own a Movie Voyager class Starscream testshot. I found out by comparing it to pictures of MISB versions and the gallery on TFkenkon that there are several differences.

My Starscream testshot is missing his faction symbols on the wings, red paint details on the chest, the silver painted parts are done very sloppy, and it looks like they didn't mask off certain areas when spraypainting the gold parts of the robotchest.

Just like you I'll probably hang on to it untill I get a "proper" final version of Starscream.

The Test-Shot/Prototype seems to have been more movie accurate, but the final one looks better IMO, especially the silver parts.

Still doubt I'll get it though. Think I'm going to use the movie as an opportunity to ween myself away from this hobby.

Additionally, would have been nice if they had made the trailer hitch functional for the kitbashers.

I actually prefer the brighter blue. I think it's more fitting for the insanely pimped-out rig he's disguised as. The addition of the silver paint is much appreciated, too.

I have to agree - definitely adding this one to my list; wasn't sold on the leader class version to begin with.

I prefer the blue from the test shot, but in the end, the new colors match THIS Optimus.

Thats a good paint job, but they should have done something with the head. It's still just off.
