if thats the toy from in the package then its interesting that he has a not for sale print on the window, i assumed that the ones for sale on ebay were all actual production samples.
great photo set and a toy that many will love, personally i feel its the animated toy i least like!!

Holy crap he's tall! D: But I must say, the scale is excellent. I think this guy should/could have alot of accesories to go with him- all those knock-off figures would make for great "trophies"

I dunno He really has a G1 Cyclonus-y feel to him; he just sorta reminds me of Cyclonus and Death's Head mixed... Either way, that's an AWESOME transformation, and an AWESOME figure overall! Kitbashers will have a heyday making all of his weapon accessories like on the show!

The more I see of the Animated line the more I find myself eating my words. I quite like then, think I have become used to the new look.
Not sure if I will buy any though yet.
Just cos he is voyager sized doesnt mean he will be tricked out with the extra features you generally get on a voyager figure. He just onfolds more than most deluxes.

I've generally assumed that as well. But I guess this must've been a test shot that would probably have gone to someone within the toy-making-process who have either approved the final box design or the final toy. I don't think it is a final production figure with a "not for sale" stamp on it because some of the parts come off extremely easy (as in "difficult to stay attached"), such as the back bumpers that become his feet.
As much as I love this figure, part of me just wants to put this guy back up on eBay since it's a true prototype and not a final production piece. I don't have any desire to have prototypes in my collection. I'm going to wait and see what the rest of the Animated figures that are coming in my direction are like first before I decide.

Now this is what I'm talking about. While he's not my favorite character- his character design is strong and clear. You know what he's about, and you know he means business.
Placed next to the movie figures, they just look like the mixed up messes they are, especially Megatron. I hope that animated came around, based on fans initial negative reactions to the "characterless insect" transformers from the movie.
"Animated" seems to be almost the polar opposite of the film dreck. Clean designs based on solid character concepts in a Robot-centric narrative.
If little kids can handle a reintroduction/reboot like animated, then why couldn't they have done the same in the movie?

Great gallery. I was shocked by the size-comparison shots to the other figures. That Bulkhead is really small.

Great figure and some really great photos Ryan. I especially like the one I chose for the story's thumbnail - the way he's looking at his hook hand, pondering it as it were...
There is alot of personality in some of these photos, very nice work as always!

It looks like his EMP cannon has the connection point so it can fit on Ratchet's forearm, which is really cool.

Heh heh ... I'll take that as a compliment my friend. I had a lot of fun with this gallery last night. It's a great figure and I loved the transformation.

I was already considering this figure for the EMP Generator(so I could give it to Ratchet), but after seeing the sheer badassatude of Lockdown in this gallery he's practically sold!

A great looking figure.
My only gripe is that he doesn't match how he looks in the show quite as well as most of the other toys do.
This toy is too wide at the hips.
In the show he's got much bigger shoulders and feet and quite narrow hips.

Indeed it can. Peaugh of TFW2005 did a video review and shows that it can connect.

I'm gonna pass on these, they look ridiculous. Would've prefered if they made a cartoon based on the movie like some kind of prequel.

Sigh, this figure just isn’t doing it for me. I think of all the animated figures this one and Oilslick look like ones I’ll be passing on whatsoever. I mean, I’ve seen a couple toys from this line that look decent enough for me to pickup, but this one is just horrible.
I think it wasn’t until Energon really that I got the urge to buy every single Transformer I could get my hands on, but now that urge is slowly fading away, I mean I loved the movie toys and all, but there starting to wear on me a bit and Animated is just a slap in the face IMO. Oh classics, why cant thy come sooner?
BTW, awesome gallery, I’m just not to big on the toy.
