Mine is either Unicron or Energon Omega Supreme

at the time I said no to Unicron cause he was just
too big, but now, I feel I should have at least 1
titan size figure.... man I saw him on all kinds of
discounts too...

I turned down Omega Supreme cause of his wacky colors,
if I knew the remake of Metroplex was gonna be so
crappy... maybe I should have just gone for it,
and speaking of which I hope I don't regret not getting
cybertron Metroplex...

FORTRESS FREAKIN MAXIMUS!!!!!!!!!!

I was 1989, July. My moms and I were in Toys R Us. I saw the most amazing TF ever ever ever. It was HUGE. It was as big as I was. I HAD to have it. My mom said it was too expensive and bought me Powermaster Prime instead.

MOM, I have to pay 800 bucks for it now. MOM WHAT DID YOU DO??

So yea lol, if I could I would go back in time and make my mom buy a few of those for me.

Actually, Fortress maximus has taken a special place in my collection. He was the most desired TF by me for 2 decades.

As such, I have decided to make him my last G1 purchase. Whenever my G1 collection is 100% complete in every way, I will go on ebay and buy a MISB Fortress Maximus, and then, I am going to have my gf record me opeing a 20 odd year old box. I will then post the video of me releasing him from his prison here for you guys.

Well, that is unless I choke at the last minute on the price and decide to settle for a MIB.

Just figures that I want to have in both bot and alt modes. Nothing stays MISB with me. I set them all free!!

Hence, I might just settle for a MIB FM, instead of a MISB. I don;t know yet. That decision is a year or 2 away at this point.

Optimal Optimus.
In Queensland Australia there was plenty of TM2 Megatron around but not a single OPOP. Could not find a single one. That was until I took a trip up to southport on the coast and a shop had OPOP in there for $120 freakin dollars! I pleaded to mum if I could have it (I was about 9 at the time) unfortunately she said no...

I really have to go back there the Mr.Toys had a few figures that I hadn't seen in the Brisbane/Logan Aera e.g TM Terrorsaur, TM Airazor.

1984, get all G1 Toys, especially Megatron. I grew up during G2 and I didn't know better that I would always go to the toy store hoping to find Gun Megatron. I even wrote to Hasbro and back then it was not E-Mail, it was personal and got a letter back saying they discontinued

All season three and beyond TFs... I ignored them cause I was in my 'too cool for you' phase.

I no longer have my Air Jordan's from back then, but I bet I still would have the TFs.

I guess I am fortunate as I have all of the US releases up till the second wave of Micros (never got into the micro bases for some reason). I even have a few Action Masters.

I remember buying Fort Max and Scorponok at the same time from TRU in 88..

My story is getting rid of / losing Blowpipe. I'm kicking myself to this very day because he is so hard to find and Triggerhappy looks so lonely.

I thought I saw him drowning in a box of Lego last timeI went to my parents' house, but after a thorough rummage I couldn't locate the poor chap.

I wish I could have gone back and gotten those G1 classics (90's euro ones) again...cause i had them all when i was a kid and i sold em all

well, there's nothing major on my list, there was this time I coulda picked up G2 Prime (the repaint of G1) but didn't, then when I got back into collecting, and TO THIS DAY do not have a complete Prime, I probably shoulda got that one...

My first would have to be Tankor & Obsidian. I saw them on my second trip to the states, but passed them in favor of E-Hot Shot and E-Inferno. Big mistake. Never saw them again.
My second, on the same trip, was A-Cheetor. Wasn't that interested at the time, being a repaint and all, but when I got A-Rhinox and A-Terrorsaur I made a 180 degree turn in terms of interest. I need both him and A-Airazor (which I've never seen) to complete the Armada Heralds group.
The third one is A-Blurr. Saw him when I just started collection and hadn't reach the level of obsession (for lack of a better word) of today yet. So I passed on him...

I actually passed on all the Commemorative Reissues. I used to see them all the time and thought it be cool to get a few of them. At the time I hadn't got back into collecting them so I kept passing on them.

I had Alternator Swerve in my hands 3 different times at three different stores, with money to buy them each time, but they were so close together that I figured that he would be around in a couple of weeks, so I bought other Alternators.

I now have all of the other Alternators, including Nemesis Prime and Camshaft, but no Swerve .

Every time I see him for 100 bucks on eBay I want to strangle someone.

When I was a child I had the option of getting Apeface now, or waiting a week and getting Scorponok for my birthday.

I was impatient and went with Apeface. Now when I see G1 Scorponok my heart still yearns for him.

ouch! teaching a kid patience is near impossible!
but you know what? at least apeface is pretty cool!

lessons to be learned after reading ya'al posts and
from my own experience.

if you see a transformer you like with a bad repaint,
don't let that be the reason you don't get him,
it maybe your LAST chance.
