Differences between Wheeljack and Downshift?

I'm starting to compile my Botcon "wishlist" and was wondering what the exact differences between the Jaopanese Wheeljack and the US Energon Downshift were.
Anyone have loose of both?

I think one has clear windows while the other has red windows.

The inner body joint color is the biggest difference. American = pea green, Japanese = light gray. The Japanese Energon Wheeljack is better than Energon Downshift if you are trying to fit it in the classic line.

Man its unfair, really want that Superlink Wheeljack but I'm getting Universe Downshift and he looks good to me too. I wouldn't mind a G1 Jazz from the movie line though.

Energon Downshift is one of my favorite figures in the last X amount of years. I have both versions and I have to say Super Link Wheeljack is far better. If it's a Classics Wheeljack you want, Super Link is your answer.

To me the lcosest to G1 is Superlink Wheeljack, but you'll pay a pretty penny for him.
Universe Downshift is horrible, but Energon Downshift is decent. The green will get to you, but I still like mine.

Superlink Wheeljack is one of the few figures I need to complete that line...

I paid about $40 for MISB about 3 months ago on eBay. They are getting quite rare now.

It wasn't for me either. Finding the thing seems to be the bigger problem. Chances are you'll find one at Botcon. Good luck, it is worth it.
