Well ...

Theres Bumblebee, Optimus, Bulkhead and Prowl ... but ... ooouh ouuh ...
There is NO Ratchet ... !

So we CANT get every 5 Autobots from the team in the first wave? ...
Kinda dumb ...
Especially for the kids, there probably want a complete set for full playvalue ...

What do you think about this? :|

It is stupid, after all, Ratchet is the main Autobot I want from the Animated line.

Umm... riiiight.

Bumblebee, Prowl, and Bulkhead all get more screen time than him...

When I was a kid, I never would've gotten the full set so fast. Unless it was a birthday or christmas, I'd be lucky to get 1. How long is it between waves anyway? I don't think it's such a bad thing to stagger the release of main characters across several waves. It'll give kids a chance to save up and get the ones they really want, and it'll mean later waves won't be full of repaints and filler.

Besides, there's already been a few Ratchets that showed up on ebay, so it shouldn't be too long coming.

And besides, no kid will ever get the complete cast in one goe, they will have to wait even if the complete cast were in wave one.

Deluxe Prime & Meg 2 pack.

Deluxe:
Cybertron mode Prime
Prowl
Bumblebee
Blackarachnia
Lockdown

Voyager:
Earth mode Prime
Starscream
Cybertron mode Megatron
Bulkhead

I believe. Could be wrong. I think Grimlock and Lugnut may also be in the wave 1 Voyagers too...

Why do you say BA and Voyager Prime are wave 1 but not Ratchet? Ratchet is on the back of BA's box if you're going by that. There's no listing online for BA or Voyager Prime. As far as I know Ratchet could be part of wave 1. If not, it's because they can't go on and release half the toys at once. They have to squeeze in some 'Cons, so you gotta expect at leaqst one Autobot to be absent in that case. But correct me if I'm missing info on any info you've heard from Hasbro.

I have a simple strategy I intend to utilize with this line—and that is patience.
I am super pumped for Animated and I intend to get almost every figure. But I don't see a point in jumping on the collection wagon until I can see where things are going with this line.

I mean, what if they release a version of Starscream with G1 colors? What are the season 2 figures going to be like? None of us saw Premiums coming for the movie line, and even though I don't own leader class Megatron, the metallic colors of the premium are far superior to the original release from what I can tell. Plus, I just bought my leader class Optimus Prime from Hasbro in January—so waiting a while didn't mean I had to turn to buying on E-bay.

fuk ...it's taken nothing but patience so far. I've bin super-pumped for animated since last summer.

If I was all about patience and self control, I would've said no to almost my whole collection.

I apologize...I'm not trying to heap guilt on anyone seeking out the first wave of Animated. It just seems that Hasbro has a knack for releasing something that makes us say "Dang it! I should've waited!" I've been there too. I guess if nothing else, it may not hurt to see what the leader class versions of Bulkhead, Megatron and Prime look like before purchasing thier voyager counterparts.

I have to admit, part of my problem right now is that I'm seriously short on dough, and my situation won't change for a while. So I really don't have a choice but to wait.

My previous post = guess work.
This is just what I assume and have heard, and just 'cos it's on the box art doesn't mean it's in the same wave.
But it makes sense to have the 'cons that appeared earlier in the series (Starscream, BA, Lockdown) in wave one, and it would also make sense to have one con where theres one bot, so there are equal numbers.
But I say once again, I absolutely could be wrong.

No need to apologize, it's generally good advice to wait. It's what I did before I got into transformers. In the long run you get what you wanted, and usually for less. But with transformers those rules don't always apply. You never know if you'll get a second chance on some figures, and you don't know if other figures will even show up at all. I'm still waiting for Movie Stockade, Dropkick, Incinerator, and Leader Brawl to show up 'round these parts.
