What do people think of the new universe line?

After reading yet another takara/tomy should release the other three seekers thread. I thought I would start a more positive thread and ask what people think of the first wave of new universe figures. I like all of them except for the two repaints from the cybertron line if they had done some sort of recolor and new head sculpt maybe I would have gotten a little more excited about them. But again that is just me what does everyone on the boards think about the first wave.

I personally can't wait for Sunstreaker, Prowl, Octane and Galvatron.

The Prowl, Sunstreaker, and Octane look great. The Galvatron should have been made an Ultra class instead of Powerglide, but the 'bot details are very good on the Galvatron. The vehicle form is meh. The Ultra class Onslaught & Powerglide are must-haves. I like the Blaster figure, but they really really needed a new head-sculpt to be more like the original. Makes you wonder what will be next(I would love to see a Hound, a G1 cartoon-style Ironhide/Ratchet and perhaps a...dare I say it? Shockwave! God, Hasbro, please do it huge and do it right)

I originally wanted powerglide and onslaught, but them being Ultras concern me with their scalability. They seem like they might dwarf all the other classics, if they don't then I'll get them.

As for Galvatron him being an ultra would be dumb, he should be a Voyager so he's the same size as Prime. If he were an ultra he'd be one huge ass cannon and that just wouldn't look right IMO.

Actually some ultra class figures are the same size as Voyager class figures all depends. So I hope that ultra class figures are on the smaller side for the new universe line.

Lovin Universe.
But mostly the deluxes.
Voaygers suck.
Don't like Powerglide's colors and upper body.
Onslaught looks badass, but I wish he could combine.
But the first wave of deluxes rules.
But I've noticed they're very simillar to Classics.
-Octane is Astrotrain - triple changer
-Prowl is Starscream - mold that can be remolded(Jazz = Ramjet) and repainted(Smokescreen = Skywarp)
-Sunstreaker is Bumblebee - yellow guy, repainted in red(though I heard Sideswipe will be a remold)
Galvatron is Grimlock - kinda big characters, people complain that they're too small, very updated alts (tank, realistic dinosaur from alien turret thing and dinosaur that stands upright)

OK good, if they are the same size as voyagers pretty much then I'm getting them. Just didn't want to have a plane that made a Shuttle look tiny. Then again Jetfire does that.

I love it, I’m loving every figure I’ve seen so far. Cant wait for Sideswipe. The only thing I’m seriously hoping for is that Onslaught will still combine, otherwise, I’m good. 8)

The main difference between voyager and ultra figures is the inclusion of electronics (lights, sounds etc) in the ultra class.

You pay £5 (well, we do) for a flashing LED, or a poorly recorded sound :?

I will not be getting Blaster or that tanker thing. They are terrible repaints and ruin the odds of getting actual classics versions of those characters.

I love the new Universe line. I can not wait for them to be released. They are excellent looking and if they are anything quality wise as Classics figures, they will be just outstanding.

I love it. I'll be picking up every figure in the line. I do hope Blaster gets a new head and minicon. And it would be nice Onslaught is able to combine with the other yet-to-be-announced Combaticons. Hasbro did say they wanted a new gestalt in Universe, but I think I'd prefer a new Menasor. We's had enough Combaticons over the years.

I can't wait for them to come out in August. I probably will not get all of them but a good majority of them.

I'll be buying all of them, sans the two Cybertron repaints. We'll have to see if any other good repaints surface in the future... All the new molds are going on my shelf, though. :D

It's awsome. The toys look great and it's nice they have an ultra class. I can't wait to see what else this line puts out! :)

I'm waiting desperately for it to be released. I can't remember the last time I went this long without buying a TF off the shelf.

Obviously, it's anticipated.

However it does have a down side. The Universe line was initialy released to rehash molds from a few years past that fans may have missed out on, a second chance if you will.

The Classic editions are a great addition, but the Blaster repaint is a step in the wrong dorection.

I know alot of fans are happy just to be getting a toy called Blaster, but realy, is it right?

Using the Universe intent and doing a Cybertron redeco of SoundBlaster like Takara did would have been a far better ap;ication of the origional intent.

I have a feeling that when we get to BotCon, Blaster will have a new head. Maybe a new minicon too.

Totally 1 of the most exciting news 4 me since 2008. Other than the wicked new 25th Joe line and ML still kicking high, that is. Before the news, i thought that was it for me til TF2 kicks in. Guess again. Animated TFs? No thanks. After Cybertron, animated just seems so wrong imho. Guess i am growing up after all. :-? In anycase, i like the direction the Universe line is heading. Not to say Blaster should've been a huge pimped out truck with subs & speakers coming out of its trunk. But Prowl and the Ultra class Decepticon(they brought back Ultra class!!!) does shine to me. The rest ain't bad either. Just can't wait...

Seibertron still rocks.
