Yup. That's why I didn't want to order Classic Devastator from walmart.com. It could have been the fault of UPS but I have never seen a package via UPS show up in that condition.
I remember an order I placed with BBTS where UPS came to my house, the package was damaged in transit and they didn't deliver it. They took it back, verified the contents were undamaged and then they re-packaged it and delivered it.

I got Devastator from walmart and it was Perfect. The protoforms from Hasbro and they where perfect as well. Once it leaves the warehouse and a carrier pics it up, it is out of their hands and not at fault.
I would blame UPS or USPS. They had the package and are responsible for it. Not the store from where it was purchased. I would be PISSED if it happened to me!! I ordered Railracer JRX,and I got in that condition from USPS. I was furious, but they where ok. As long as the figs are not messed up in any way I would thank the allspark!!
I looked at the pics again, I think they kicked all the way over to you!

Thats pretty poor quality. though with large companies it could be one individual with a "what do I care, I get payed either way" attitude rather than all of them being bad.

It reminds me of that Saturday Night Live commercial for Jiffy Express. If someone forgot to ship something, they'd take it to Jiffy Express and they would beat the hell out of the package, show it had been re-routed several different places, and basically take the blame off whoever forgot to ship the package by pretending it was the shipping companies fault the whole time.

I have NEVER received a package like that from any company. My packages from Walmart always have arrived in pristine condition and within a few days of my order, even though the site says it will take about 7 days. This is the fault of the shipping company, not Walmart.

Damn and i thought Hasbrotoyshop was bad. When i got my rattrap it looked like that. I ordered the movie figures from hasbro and they were dented but not like that. Well look at it this way, if ther are not broken you can open them. But that was UPS' fault. If the box is fine and the product is messed up then its the suplyer. If both the box and product is fracked then its UPS' fault.

Maybe the UPS fellow is a serious movie-hater. Maybe he is someone on this board!

Maybe the UPS truck is a Decepticon and it transformed and tried to wrestle the box away from the driver. We're not so cavalier to run the dear UPS driver's good name into the ground now are we? He's a hero, I mean he did still manage to get the package to you despite the extreme circumstances he had to endure.

I ordered two Energon Shockblasts from them way back and everything was perfectly mint and pristine, as it was for you.
However, I find it impossible that USPS is to blame for receiving a clearly opened-and-cheaply-taped Classics Grimlock from walmart.com.

I work for a large package delivery company, you'd be surprised at how much of the freight is destroyed. Rain, boxes falling on boxes in transit, fork lift accidents, and idiots are all huge factors you need to take into consideration. When freight is being driven around the Air Port rain can get into the containers and anything on the bottom soaks it up, so rainy nights are the worst for the re-pack department.
Cheaper shipping means the package usually sits in some warehouse for a day or two until it's time for it to move making it more likely to get smashed up. How gently its treated depends on how many people handle it and how much they care.
But yeah, that box was smashed real good.
