anyone else have new ideas for the alternators line? I for one would be sorry to see it go completely with the release of the new movie. I've had the following ideas kicking around in my head since i started collecting the line.
1. Release six constructicons in the 1:24 scale, and then you could have a huge devastator! Ridiculously expensive, but ridiculously awesome.
2. Release an ambulance Ratchet (I know theres been a few kitbashes and customs on this one)
3. Expand the entire idea of the 1:24 scale models to areas outside licensed cars, have scaled jets and tanks and expand the line completely.
Also, apologies if this thread has already been made, and if someof my ideas have already been conceived.

Unless Hasbro changes its mind, alternators is over

Sad too since I wanted Hot rodumus, but don't want the damn kiss player girl (it's just odd).

Welcome to the party BTW.
EDIT: Wrong Forum, so I'll move it to the Toy Forums.

I would personally love it if they had licensed a Dodge Nitro- black of course. Since I bought one I've given it my Blackstreak ID and use it in an on-line RPG (but not the one that's here- that comes later). If they produced one I'd buy it and put it in my Nitro.

what if hasbro was petitioned to contiue the alternators line? im sure there would be enough people, look at how much money people are shelling out to buy ones on ebay. last time i saw wheeljack, he was going for 270.00 USD. I was lucky enough to find him for 50.

Writing Hasbro might help, but I think compared to some of the better selling lines, like Cybertron and G1 Classics, it wasn't a "money maker"

Actually, a new idea for Alternators would actually be
waiting until a new one is announced and
then discussing it.
No offense intended to the thread-starter, of course...

I personally love the Alternators line. Just got back into transformer toys two or three weeks ago when I saw an Alternator Tracks on a toy shelf. Bought it, loved it, and have been buying every one I can get my hands on. I wish there were more and would hate to see this line disappear.

There was none when you search due to the data loss a few months ago. Prior to that there were like 50 threads.
Technically Alternators are on hiatus, so there might be some new ones.

I wouldn't mind a Dodge Neon (even though they're out of production) and a Chevy Trailblazer. Just happen to be the cars that my family and I have, so it would be cool for us.

I could see the Trailblazer being Trailbreaker (duh!) and the Neon could be, I dunno, maybe Cliffjumper or one of the other mini-cars or larger Autobot cars.

I was just thinking I wouldn't mind seeing a Dodge Neon Bumble Bee or something.

Really? I could have sworn I read one just last week.

I think it would be cool to see some more of the mini-bots, espescially some of the more popular ones from the show. Brawn could be a Landcruiser or maybe an F150 Ford Truck. I think the front end and the grill on those trucks give them a tough look which is ideal for someone like Brawn. You could always do a repaint for Huffer as well.

I think they also need to do an Ironhide/Ratchet Alternator and the best vehicle to do that with would be some style of Hummer. Ironhide is another Autobot that needs a vehicle with a "tough" image. Ratchet could be some kind of military Medevac repaint version. It couldn't hurt Hummer to license out the name to generate revenue for all those unsold vehichles due to gas prices being what they are.
I think some other interesting car modes for various bots would be the Nissan 350Z, Chrysler Crossfire, Aston Martin Vanquish, and the inevitable concept Chevrolet Camaro.

You mean like Movie Ratchet, Swerve?

(With a different G1 accurate head, of course)

Yeah, I forgot about the movie version looking more military like but I think something like that would work for both Ironhide and Ratchet. I think I would rather not see a lime green Ratchet though.

Too true. That mold, I think, could look fabulous as a white or light grey and red accent Hummer. Maybe chrome grille guards and racking.
Then do Ironhide as a dark red or maroon with black grille guards and racking...

I personally would want to see a Toyota FT-HS:

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you, Alternators Wheelie (in scale)!

Wheelie say, "Be friends with Steve Martin today!"

Well, I think they should continue making Alternators,
but make them die-cast like the Binaltechs.
I just got my first one won off ebay, and the pure
weight of the Binaltech kicks in the grills of the Alternators.
Plus they are shiney, shiney.
The paint is better than colored plastic in my opinion.
Oh I wanna taste that Lamburgini!
