Hey Seibs, Gallery Question

I love your galleries. Thorough and detailed, the way they should be.

My question is this. How long does it take you, from setting up the shoot to posting it online, to make a single gallery?

I know sometimes you don't have enough hours to get one done in a day, but for the sake of this question let's say that you do and that it's an average gallery of 100-120 pics.

My guess is about 4 hours.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Good question, but I'll move this to the Toys Forum as the galleries are about, low and behold... toys! :P

You're just about correct. It takes me about 3 - 4 hours to do the average gallery from start to finish. That's why I like to do groups of galleries together. It makes it a lot easier to do all of the similar figures at the same time whether it's repaints, remolds or "friends".

It's a lot of work. That's why I am so defensive about the galleries. I have spent an ungodly amount of time working on these galleries since January 2004. But I set out to accomplish a goal and I'm about 1/2 way to 3/5 of the way complete with the galleries. I am planning on taking a break after the movie comes out which I am really looking forward to.

Thank you for your compliment about the gallery. I'm really happy to hear that you are enjoying the galleries so much. My biggest desire is to have you guys be able to use these pictures to figure out which figures you want to purchase. I also hope that it helps the artists out there with all of the different angles (I used to be an amateur comic artist of sorts and I always keep that person in mind when I'm doing all of those angles). I also seek to have the most comprehensive collection of Transformers galleries that can be found anywhere in the world. If I can do all of those things, then I will feel satisfied.

Just need to get the G2 Dinobots and I'll be on it. I've got MOSC green Slag ... just need a red Snarl and a blue Grimlock at the least. Wouldn't mind getting the red Slag, green Snarl and Turquoise Grimlock as well.

I have a feeling that you guys will get a Brave Max, Fort Max and Scorponok gallery before you get galleries of the Dinobots. However, I would like to have the Dinobot galleries posted before the movie comes out because I think those are some figures that people will be looking for.

The galleries on this site are the very best that I have ever seen of any Transformers website.

I particular enjoy the photos of the robots together with their counterparts from different lines as well as those from the same lines. It gives you a great sense of scale and the all white background gives it a really nice touch.

If anybody is complaining about the galleries, Seibertron, let me know and I'll sic my cousin Vinny on them!!

(I really do have a cousin named Vinny  )

Oh, p.s., I agree with the general consensus: these galleries rock!! Some day when I'm rich I'll make sure you get compensated for them!!! (Of course, at the rate I'm growing my collection, that'll never happen... )

I always check the gallery for a figure before I purchase, and I am really picky about what I buy, so they are a great resource for me.

Although I think I have bought a couple of figures because their gallery looked good, not because I wanted it before hand :-?

Thanks Seibs.

It's funny you should mention it, I use your galleries for both shopping and drawing. Yes, I do appreciate all the various angles as well as the close ups of the faces.

Let his ego rise, He's the only one of us who could brag about being a TF nut and not have the girls wave him off. Or get called 'Elias'. (clerks 2)

I still say that Seibs should take some TFs that need galleries to BotCon, so that he can get some temp. help.
