Report Seibertron photos on eBay auctions

As many of you are aware, the problem with eBay sellers using Seibertron.com photos in their auctions is becoming more and more rampant. I don't mind so much when the Seibertron.com watermark has been left intact in the photo, but I keep seeing more and more eBay sellers getting rid of my watermark.

Many of you have contacted me over the last couple of years expressing your concern about this. I have finally signed up for eBay's Infringment program to help ease this problem so that you guys can make sure that you are receiving the item pictured in auctions and on a lesser note to prevent the use of my images in eBay auctions.

If you see use of the Seibertron photos in eBay auctions, please post a link to the eBay auction in this thread. I will contact eBay to inform them of this infringement to help clean up eBay auctions.

Thanks for your assistance everyone!

lol, thats hilarious. Professional looking pics of the figure, then "Well Packed" pics of an old box with not enough bubble wrap on the floor.

I had posted about this before. The problem with using someone else's pic, is the figure the person is selling may not be the same as the pic used.

Digital camera's are so cheap, and a 6 or 7MP with a good lens will work fine.

Scalpers steal from the collectors and now even the collectors' site. Sometimes Ebay is really evil.

Link.

He posted his own image and left the water mark, but he still used yours regardless.

Thank you very much. Message sent to eBay for both of his auctions. I wasn't going to initially do it for the King Atlas auction, but when I saw that he was trying to pass off a knock off G1 Megatron as the real thing, I decided to act on both of these auctions since he used my photos in both.

That Megatron auction is ridiculous. The first pic is a real Megatron and the second pic is a bad KO.

I don't think those are my photos. They don't match the angles I took and they have extra white space around the figure, which I would crop in my pictures.

Just out of curiosity, it is acceptable to sell a figure with pics of the exact figure for sale, but then post a link to the seibertron gallery for that figure?

Something like, "Check out more photos of this amazing figure (not the one for sale, but one just like it) over at seibertron.com <insert link to gallery>"?

That should be ok. As long as it's just a link to the gallery, it should be fine.
